You have one story, thats it. They can update that game til PS7 is a thing and you will have 1 story. I love the game but the replay value is minimal, at best
Reminded me that Bethesda does release some great / huge games.
Albeit quite bugged at release,
but since they (usually) embrace the modding scene, lots of this can be / has been patched and even improved by the community.
The Next Gen update is a stupid cash-grab though, and imo should have never happened…

Except that all of their patches broke all the mods.
FO4 also was a mediocre fallout game but a decent FPS and base builder
Brother the company is owned by Microsoft now. You can complain about their product in any way you want. Its sold under Microsoft, you can complain. Again, Microsoft
People have complained about FO4’s graphics since release. I always thought it was a good looking game. Coming back after the next-gen update I still think it looks good.
It always looked like nearly next generation. Better than New Vegas, but when stacked up against the other releases that year like Witcher 3 and Bloodborne it just felt a but underwhelming.
IMO the graphics look great, it’s just that it’s so clearly built on the creation engine. Like, the models and textures and lighting are great, but the animation is just so…creation engine
Even if I side with the community on the turnout, I feel like a community manager’s job is to represent the company’s interests to some degree. Kind of like a defense lawyer.
They shouldn’t go as far as lying to people or making bad promises, which can make it a tough job, but they definitely shouldn’t be siding with the players against the company, or the internal employees are catching flak from both sides.
I’ve always been a fan of used physical copies. Don’t wanna play GameX on day one because the last time CompanyB released a game it was good but only after updating a couple of GB? Wait a year and get that game used for cheaper than a meal.
I don’t know, I think there’s still a big collection of games that make it worth it. I don’t think the “core” cheaper option with a set 25 games is really worth it though.
I get that for some users. In my case, 90% of what’s in the catalog that I’d be interested in I already own. I know this isn’t the standards, but it’s what happens when you’re an avid Steam Gamer with a Humble Sub and a collecting problem.
I joined Game pass to have Xbox live to play with my console buddies and for day one exclusive access. At this point, I’ve moved most of them on to PC and Xbox has done nada with my 5 or so years of subscription.
I understand the sentiment that everyone has overall but it seems that most aren’t aware that He was cunt 90% of the time. What he did was commendable but I’m sure it was more of a “leave me alone” sort of situation.
I reached game pass saturation a while ago…IMO it turned into basic cable TV with one or two good channels (games) and stuffed full of religious & shopping channels (while still promoting the quantity of games)
Why would you choose now of all times to double down on Bethesda??
Why not do something useful with Starcraft, Warcraft, or an Activision property like Guitar Hero or Tony Hawk? Bethesda has been proving for the last 8 years that they can’t keep up.
Look, it all looked great on paper years ago when Zenimax Media gave them an evaluation report on the company that was so overvalued it was lawsuit-worthy.
