Electronic Arts has announced the closure of Ridgeline Games, the studio working on a new single-player Battlefield campaign.

Obviously unfortunate that people lost their jobs – but this wasn’t an established studio with known titles(?)

The current limitation I’m finding with third party controllers is that I can’t bind the back paddles to what I want in Steam. I can only bind them to buttons that are available on the controller through their software.

I like to use the back paddles as modifier’s like Ctrl or Alt or to apply an action layer to temporarily modify my other buttons.

Im happy for this. But between this and the last update with a bunch of mods I have to wonder why – how are dev cycles being approved for these lovely changes? Is there enough money to be made pulling in anyone who hasn’t already bought the game and DLC? Good community PR?

Yeah, I came into this series late and enjoy the open world and leveling aspects. But had been avoiding Valhalla because I hadn’t really heard great things about it.

Yeah, I usually pair it up with a more focused game and will switch between the two.

If you only have a bit of time to spend you can explore a bit and obliterate some random camps. If you have more time you can progress through the story.

I think the farthest I’ve gone back is Brotherhood and I think I can draw the line there. In hindsight I just grinded through the story because there was no pacing or anything to tell me otherwise and to go explore – so it’s partially my fault. Also, the last area was a buggy jump puzzle - screw that.

I still have Unity in the backlog to play and wouldn’t mind another playthrough of Black Flag.
