The problem with video games and being ‘evil’ is a lack of nuance or exploring the space.

You can either be ‘good’ or ‘evil’ and there might not be much middle ground nor realistic reasons for being either.

TTRPGs are much better places to explore this dichotomy in because you can have actual reasons and it’s not just about being a mustache-twirling villain or goodie two shoes.

Hmm, some of those titles are suspicious because yes perverted nerds do cause some of society’s problems as we learned from the whole incel movement, and there are studies showing some types of porn lowers empathy etc for others.

Not that most ‘adult’ games on steam are worth it, they’re mostly objectifying shit that wouldn’t know what consent and boundaries were if it kissed them on the mouth and they felt uncomfortable with it.

Nor would they know what good writing, acting or realistic sex etc is either.

Yes. However, before they started supporting and prefering linux, and working on proton then getting any game working on linux was a real mess and the average person couldn’t do it for most games.

Sadly most other games stores in the digital space like gog don’t give a shit about linux, thus there is still no galaxy on linux, nor are their preservation efforts coming to linux for a long time.

Yeah, Heroic is good but sadly it only supports gog and epic. Not everything is from those stores, sadly. Whereas Lutris supports a lot more sources.

I have, sadly. On steam once the native linux version of a game wouldn’t run but the windows one would through proton.

However, yeah I agree, they could so I don’t know why they don’t.

I don’t know. Fascism hates art, and capitalism only sees value in it when it’s making them money/giving it power, and capitalism and fascism are very closely related. Therefore it’s actually a part of stopping fascism, or at least stopping them from getting what they want entirely.

Also it being an industry always seemed wrong to me. If big corpos are dying off then that’s good. Video games shouldn’t be about soulless money grabs and ever increasing profits, they should be about art and making enough to live on.

Also we disagree as not all groups on even discord are public since many require invites or accepting requests to join.

Edit: Also, even if they are public I’d rather the server not be able to see my messages even if the users in any given group can. Yes, I know it’s a minor difference but I can probably trust the other users, I cannot necessarily trust the server.
