Hello, c/Games mod here.

This post has been reviewed as valid by the mod team

For everyone infosec culture, hashing and salting password consist in using one-way mathematical functions to encrypt passwords. It is a very commonly used security practice to make it more difficult for an attacker that was able to steal a database to obtain the password. As the website is unable to decrypt said password (thank to the one way mathematical function), the only way to send you back your password in this manner is to have it unhashed and unsalted in his database.

But

In the current case, this is a registration email, which may have been sent before the initial hashing and salting. In this case we cannot say for sure if Larion Studios indeed have unhashed and unsalted password in his database.

Pizza Possum. Very small indie game, but very fun.

I may give it a try sometime, if I ever get bored of Baldur’s Gate 3. But at 300 hours I’m thinking about another playthrough.

Bouncing between Mass Effect Andromeda when my kid is asleep or not around, or Journey to a Savage Planet when they are around.

Finished some time ago afterimage. Pretty good metroidvania. I liked it despite some negative comments, I did not find many of the issues described, or very little of it. Tho I used a map to find my way around collectables.

Recently finished hogwarts Legacy. It’s pretty good too, but it’s cursed with bugs and not sure if it’s abandoned by the dav as there wasn’t any update in 5 months. Tho most of the game is fine without game breaking bugs or too visible.

I started yesterday GRIME. Another metroidvania. For now it’s a bit soon to have a real opinion, but it’s OK.

mongler,

Love GRIME.

I have been playing Phantom Liberty a lot. I've enjoyed it more than Starfield and BG3.

Before PL came out, I had started playing Sea of Stars. But it was extremely difficult to get into. Besides the S+++ tier pixel art, I thought the writing was poor: boring characters, bad dialogue, bad worldbuilding all made worse by slow pacing. I am gonna revisit this game sometime in the future I guess, though I don't understand its appeal yet.

Also I played Armored Core 6 for a few minutes and died to the tutorial mission helicopter like 10 times in a row. I guess some people find that fun, lol.

bighatchester,

Despite the popularity I have no interest in starfield or BG3 Hoping to get armoured core 6 soon and can’t wait for spider-man 2 . For now I’m just going to finish up breath of the wild .

thorbot, do games w Starfield has some beautiful landscapes!

I wanted to love this game and it did suck me in for 30 or so hours. But once I realized none of the factions mean anything and you can just join up with conflicting factions and kill whoever you want and then just pay off bounty I lost all fucks. What’s the point of being space pirate if I can just kill other space pirates with no penalty, and then go become a freestar ranger and a UC shill and still be a pirate somehow and nobody cares? It’s idiotic

Confuzzeled,

I played for 80 hours or so, I really wanted to like it. I could forgive the sometimes humorous bugs and the endless loading screens if it wasn’t so boring. Some of the side quests were OK but ultimately it’s just not enough to keep me coming back.

I can never tell if comments like this are a joke. Starfield has tons of issues, don’t get me wrong, but I’m still playing it because I’m having fun. Why put 80 hours into something if you aren’t enjoying it?

Personally if I’m not having fun in a game, I’d just stop after a few hours.

Confuzzeled,

I didn’t hate it, as I said there were parts I enjoyed. I did all the faction quests and maybe 70 percent of the main story and just came to the realisation that I was finding it a bit of a chore. If I wasn’t having any fun I’d have quit earlier but as I say it just became dull to me. If you’re having fun more power to you, different people like different things.

So no different than every other BGS game newer than MW then.

You can’t join all 4 factions through to the end in Fallout 4. At some point you piss off the other 3.

And in Oblivion and Skyrim, none of the factions are really opposed to each other, until DLC with the Dawnguard vs Vampires.

@Paradox@lemdro.id avatar

So you got thirty hours of entertainment out of it. That’s way more than a movie gets you

thorbot,

It’s a video game dude, how is a comparison to a movie valid

Renacles,

The only conflicting factions I can think of are the Crimson Fleet and UC Navy, but even then you aren’t going around telling everyone you are a pirate.

Which ones do you mean exactly?

RDR2 on Steam Deck. I never got far when I originally played it on my PC a few years ago and have been itching to play it again for the last few weeks.

Started a new game and so far it’s running really good.

Work and IRL stuff does not leave me with a lot of hours to game, but I did manage to put in a good few hours.

ironcrotch,

Reminds me so much of my situation. I have two kids and having a steam deck has changed everything for me, I went from not having time and/or brain space to game to being able to pick up my deck here and there and play when and where I want and not need to be at my desk or the couch.

I’m going through CP77 and plan to pick up RDR2 next sale.

Cyberpunk minus Phantom Liberty, been too long since I’ve played properly.

Skyrim VR with all the fixins, maxed the esp limit, no esl support 😞

Grim Dawn on Steam Deck and finishing up the collectables on Quantum Break which I usually stream that from my PC to my Steam Deck. I absolutely love the Steam Deck.

For better or worse I can sit and play way longer sitting on the couch with my Steam Deck than at the desk in front of my computer.
