Same here, but the performances are abysmal on the Deck (15-20 fps on low), and crashes on every map changes. I’m gonna wait next week to see if it goes better with the first few fixes, and then I’ll chose if I refund it or not.

Until recently I’d have agreed with you, but some recently released games (like E33) are either locked to very low settings (and still has bad framerate despite that), or even run like shit (Sword of the Sea) even on low.

So yeah, I’m kinda feeling the need for an upgrade right now, and as much as I hate Microsoft, depending on how it will cost I may be tempted… If it runs Bazzite well.

I do already have a pretty powerfull desktop already (5800X3D, 32 Go RAM and RX 6800), but I just love the Deck form factor.
Especially that now I can play at work, which makes my noon brake a lot less boring. It is kinda harder to bring my desktop around 😅.

Shadow of the Colossus should be in there too. It has pioneered orchestral music in video games and gad a huge impact on them as a whole.

To my limited knowledge, it was the first games where true orchestral music was used. It was influential enough to be remade for PS3 and PS4, there are few games to get such a treatment.

From my quick search, looks like it would be The Lost World: Jurassic Park, in August of 1997. Total Annihilation was released in September of 1997.

I had multiples report about the various topics that popped over the weekend, because how many of them there was on a span of a few days. Moderating them was a nightmare, so I tried to politely ask everyone to consolidate on the same thread. Somehow it ended up in insults, so I had to close it. First I considered selecting another topic, but most of the remainding ones were to foccused on one part of the issue to do such thing.

Thus, the megathread.

Trust me, I’m not a fan of the concept either, mostly because how time costly it is to maintain it, but that the price to pay to not have to spend twice the time sorting repports on various threads.

1. You posted a meme you made (which is now this topic thumbnail btw), with an exact copy of this very thread, which are both rule 4 violation
2. You reposted it as soon as I deleted it, adding an insult toward the moderation, without even trying to clarify with said moderation why the first one was removed. Rule 4 was once again called, as well as rule 2.
3. I sent you a direct message to try to explain you why it was removed, and direct you toward consolidating on this topic, that was, once again, posted not so long ago with the very same info (including the various linking errors) by no other than yourself. At least you seem to have registered the last part, as we can see here, but looks like there was no attention left for the first part.

So feel free to do your pool, which I find childish (but that’s my opinion). I’ll give you an hour or two to counterargue, and I’ll consider if I should or not give you a temp ban after that.

GNU Taller is a good alternative, and I hope to use it in real life some day. Crypto, in their current form, is far too volatile and unregulated for me to be interested in.

I played it on the Deck. I have to agree that there are rough edges (some ambient color go from A to B with no transition, and some zone have a really strange colorimetry compared to a more powerful device). But it is entirely playable.

He is not. But he is a regular, who posts hight quality content most of the time, and is well known for that.

So which side would we chose? A random guy trying to gatekeep for some personal reason a valid content, or someone who consistently post high quality content, participate in the community while, with some exception, consistently respecting the rules?

I understand what kind of analogy you want to bring, but that’d be both a false equivalence, as wall as an appeal to pity.

You are trying to portray a black and white picture about a situation we all know little about. It’s word for word, and in such case it be hard to give more credits to either party.

I heard that there is a lawsuit brewing, maybe this will give us more objective informations.

In the meantime, the only way to see if either the founders or Krafton vision would be the best would be to release the EA, even with the lack of content Krafton is complaining about. Like that we would be able to make our own conclusion.

I would not ignore if Krafton do betray UW employees. But I also take into account that for now it is word for word, and depending on which side you believe, both sides can be sided with.

If the three ousted exec did abandon their responsibility as Krafton said, their dismissal is justified. If not and that’s a way to not pay the promissed bonus, then a boycot is justified.

There isn’t many way to know, other than releasing the EA now. Like that the customer can have and idea of the true state of the game, without having to base its opinion on a bandwagon.

Krafton says that the game isn’t yet worthy of EA. Ousted led dev says that it is. Someone is probably lying here. Only way to put an end to that is to lanch the EA this year, for us to juge if it is enough content or not.

From what I’ve read, that bonus isn’t tied to a specific release, but to an earning target.

Not being able to get to that target is tied to the fact that Subnautica 2 EA should have been a huge cash influx, which now isn’t possible due to the delay, and the only remaining way would have been either a sudden renewed Subnautica 1 and BZ success or for the mobile version to be a incredible success, which I doubt.

Releasing the EA wouldn’t be an “I win button” from UW. It could go both way. Either the current state is enough for user to buy it, and not refund it, or it will be a resounding failure, with huge refund percentages. In the first case, this may allow UW to get to that target, but in the second case, it may in the worst case make the studio go under before Subnautica had any chance to be released completed
