I absolutely love Fallout 1 & 2. They are personal favorites. Far Cry 1 was also incredible, but the only ones I’ve touched after were Primal and Blood Dragon. I really need to try out the early GTAs though.
Reminds me of that one guy on youtube who chases children around in Among Us VR while screaming like a maniac, immediately accuses them of being the imposter as soon as the button gets pushed, and often gets his way because he continues yelling and the “loudest = right” principle still works in online games.

Yeah, that’s exactly why I stopped playing the game. It has nothing to do with people collectively solving a logic puzzle, and entirely is a social manipulation game.
This is why I always look for cartridge-based Switch ports of games I play, so they’ll be mine long after the online play ceases, they can no longer be legally purchased and my current device reaches the end of its product life. It also helps that game cards last longer than optical discs
The updates are still annoying but yeah it’s better than nothing. Of course there are some releases with the complete games all patched but those are rare and usually special/limited editions.
I know and I fucking hate it. I was one of the fanboys defending them even through the first SwSh trailers, but the more they showed stuff the more it was clear it wasn’t the franchise I used to love anymore.
Man I hope the next great Pokémon (even if it’s not pokémon) doesn’t take until I have kids to come out. I heard good stuff about Coromon but I’m not sure if it’s genuinely great or “great for an indie”.
