AngryCommieKender,

Bandit Green text?

AngryCommieKender, (edited )

Thanks!

Edit: I kinda feel sorry for all the bandits, townspeople, and guards that I massacred in Morrowind, and Skyrim now.

Edit 2: Shoulda flown to Morrowind! Fucking roflmao

AngryCommieKender,

Which editon is it based on? I’m assuming not 3.0 or 3.5 since you called the item system basic. I’m waiting for a good sale before I get BG3

AngryCommieKender,

You have to be willfully ignorant

At this point I’m convinced that MBA classes are really just training willful ignorance, in favor of “line go up” strategies.

AngryCommieKender, (edited )

Screw Hitler. If I invent a time machine, Jack Welch will get a tommy gun to the back of the head before he can lay off one worker, or gut a single workers protection.

Edit: autocorrect got me

AngryCommieKender,

I have one playthrough that I’ve completed 8/10 spheres on the first star, and everything is automated to the point that I could manage to build all 640 spheres, but… That would take me 1.5 hours to gather the resources, turn on the rail guns and rockets for 30 minutes, and shut it down again to gather resources for the next sphere.

Before you ask, that 30 minutes doesn’t include pausing the game and adding in the next shell, but after the first system, I could copy paste each other systems shells. The 30 minutes is building the frame and capturing all the solar sails. I generally average ≈100 solar sails wasted per shell, hence the stages.

What games do you recommend for my girlfriend? angielski

My girlfriend has never really gamed. But she’s now forced to move less than she would like to (health problem) and she’s getting bored. I was thinking of introducing her to a game or two that we could play together. She’s not the real action game type, and seeing as she has no experience with controller/mouse and keyboard...

AngryCommieKender,

Portal and Portal 2 are excellent “introduction to gaming,” games. Memorable, fun, funny, and most importantly the entire game teaches you the skills needed for a large percentage of other games.

Factorio, Satisfactory, and Dyson Sphere Program are all good factory building games.

Terraria and Minecraft can be surprisingly engaging with multiplayer.

AngryCommieKender,

Unfortunately I missed out there. I only managed to pick up P2 last year, and no one that I live near is a gamer.

AngryCommieKender,

Well, penny stocks exist. It’s possible that Tencent suddenly liquidating their 30% share could bottom out the share value temporarily. If the market decided that Tencent liquidating their holdings was a sign that the company was going under, that should drive the price down, correct?

AngryCommieKender,

First PC game? Math Blaster on a Macintosh 128K

First console game? Super Mario Bros.

First Board Game? Parcheesi/Monopoly

Also was included in my parents D&D group once I was 5 or 6

AngryCommieKender,

I saw some arguments over the last few years. It seems that the gaming industry focused so hard on good graphics that they forgot how to make the rest of the games. Honestly some faithful re-releases with updated graphics of ancient 8 and 16 bit games, would probably sell fairly well.

AngryCommieKender,

They looked better than in HD, but no one in their right mind thought that was peak performance. It was just better than anything we’d seen so far.

AngryCommieKender,

Who among you hasn’t told your construction bots to stick an entire base into chests?

What are some hidden indie gems nobody knows about? angielski

Which indies did you discover and would love more people to know about? I’ll start: The Pale Beyond. Not sure if it’s a hidden gem tbh, but it’s such a good story rich game. I laughed, I cried and felt the characters struggles. If you like story rich games/ choices matter, check it out.

AngryCommieKender,

I would imagine that most articles about Chinese Indie Games are written in Mandarin, so it’s unlikely you’d see them without the ability to read Chinese.

AngryCommieKender,

Weird. IDK

AngryCommieKender,

Monster Rancher. Great little gem on the PS1

AngryCommieKender,

Too bad I don’t have my CD collection anymore…

AngryCommieKender,

Sweet! Good to know, I may pick that up then.

AngryCommieKender,

Painkiller. To quote Yahtzee Croshaw:

“All I really need to tell you is that one of the weapons shoots shurikens and lightning. I wish I had made that up. It shoots shurikens and lightning! This gun could only be cooler if it had tits and was on fire.”

It’s a cheesy Doom-like game from the Quake 2/3 era

AngryCommieKender, (edited )

I got so frustrated getting killed over and over that I typed:

Fuck Ford

into the prompt. The game responded with:

This is a family entertainment game, not a video nasty.

Which is how I found out that was British slang for porn. graphic horror films, apparently.

AngryCommieKender,

Ahh, TIL. Thanks!

AngryCommieKender,

Publicly traded, aka private property, means you operate on the ideals of private owners, sacrificing everything in the name of profit.

Publicly owned means almost the opposite, but almost nothing is publicly owned in the US at this point.

Private property ≠ personal property.

AngryCommieKender,

I’m also talking about different company structures, and how they relate to the type of property that they are.

AngryCommieKender,

There should be public companies in the US. Especially utilities.

AngryCommieKender,

There should be a single, not particularly hidden chest in ES6 that reads :EMPTY:, but actually contains something totally obscure.

Could even have it tied to Hermaeus Mora somehow to explain why the chest reads as empty no matter what you stick in it.

AngryCommieKender,

FUCK YOU MERIDIA!!!

AngryCommieKender,

Factorio provided you want a group of kids that you never see again that can all program their own PLC devices

AngryCommieKender,

Rollercoaster Tycoon 1, 2, and 3. Been on a coaster kick.

AngryCommieKender,

I actually am one of the few fans of all 3. I’m also looking into Planet Coaster made by the same people that made 3

You won’t really appreciate how good 3 is until you start messing around with the UI and really get a feel for when you’ll need to toggle on ride height flags and path height flags, etc.

Recommend a game for me to play with my partner angielski

My partner and I occasionally play games together, but they pretty much only play word puzzle games on their own. I’m not very good at word games though, and they don’t have very good spatial skills, so we frequently find ourselves mismatched. We have a switch and a single decent gaming pc, and a pretty old laptop....

AngryCommieKender,

Also StarCraft 2 can be modded with MassRecall so you can go through the SC1 campaigns, more than just SC and Broodwars, in the SC2 engine, which makes them a bit easier and more satisfying. I think that would allow you to do co-op on the original single player campaigns.

AngryCommieKender,

Late to the thread, and you already have loads of suggestions, but Portal and Portal2 may help your partner with their spatial issues. I’ve heard that those are the games to use to introduce someone who doesn’t play videogames in general, but specifically FPS, to the media and basic controls that most of us gamers take for granted.

AngryCommieKender,

Yep, I would look for transformers for Pikachu back then. It’s a shame they still haven’t fixed the rural areas

AngryCommieKender,

House Davion was the first house I fought for on the SNES

AngryCommieKender,

Mid thirties, cause you’re younger than me. I was already in my sophomore year of university by the time halo came out, and I’m 43.

AngryCommieKender,

Finally found my people :)

AngryCommieKender,

The entire BioShock collection, Rogue Legacy, Pathfinder Kingmaker, XCOM 2, Yooka-Laylee and Y-L and the Impossible Lair, Several Warhammer games, Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, Star Wars Squadrons, Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead, Fallout 1, 2, 3, NV, and Tactics, Guacamelee and Guacamelee 2, Homeworld 1&2 Remastered, KSP, and of course LAWN MOWING SIMULATOR!!!

Edit: I almost forgot PC Building Simulator with the IT Expansion!

AngryCommieKender,

I don’t have Sims 2, I have Sims 4, but I may have missed Sims 2. My old computer couldn’t open the epic games launcher, so I missed the first six or eight months of games.

AngryCommieKender,

I don’t have Civ6, but they did give us Cities Skylines, and Europa Universalis IV

AngryCommieKender,

This is a good thing. We all know valve can’t count to 3, so the 2 will be the last one

AngryCommieKender,

On the one hand, they were fun back in the day. On the other, who the fuck is supposed to intuitively figure out that I need a plate of spaghetti to give the bouncer? He didn’t say he was hungry, there was no indication that he wanted food to let me pass, it was totally random in far too many cases.

AngryCommieKender,

I just took a look, and I can get a 30TB external SSD in multiple colors for $84.90 with free shipping…

Gonna have to squeeze one into next year’s budget…

AngryCommieKender,

What are some alternative to soulless videogame franchises? angielski

What I mean is… sometimes people are very loyal to a videogame franchise or a company because they loved a game they released years ago (Silent Hill/Konami with Silent Hill 2, Blizzard/Bethesda with their respective golden eras, some could argue this happens too with Pokémon and Final Fantasy, etc). Ethical/consumer reasons...

AngryCommieKender,

Didn’t the emus already start a war cause of fuckin bogans trying to ride them?

/j

AngryCommieKender,

I think they were referring to StarCraft 1. Hence the 1.

AngryCommieKender, (edited )

Tim Curry in Red Alert 2 3 will always be the classic though
