Yes there was one but the Tories didn’t have anything to do with it closing, at least not directly. If an election happens all open petitions are closed as a matter of process, because “it’s a new parliament”. And then you need to resubmit.
Also, the petitions committee told the Tories that their response was bullshit and they needed to give a proper one. But that doesn’t really matter because of the whole new government thing.
Then if they’re gonna whine about it, but pay anyway, they’re basically saying the company can do whatever they like and they (the players) will just suck it up. So what’s the use of whining then?
I don’t give a shit about RuneScape. But being vocal is how people give their feedback. For the players, it’s better to give feedback before the price changes, in hopes of making a difference.
If you whine about the pay increase, but pay it anyway (or continue to pay it now)…the feedback you’re giving is that it’s actually worth that price to you, and your words are effectively meaningless.
Fantastic concept. I agree that most of the other apps are either super monetized or too “in app” like a Pokemkon GO, or they’re just boring and don’t offer much.
This looks like something fun, motivating, and really well made.
Thank you! And I definitely know the feeling of “being boring and don’t offer much”. That’s what I also got from many of the fitness games out there - I felt the games were way too casual to offer long-term motivation. If I’m collecting stuff for the sake of just collecting, there’s not enough to keep me hooked.
We’re trying here to keep it quite casual friendly by that the complexity reveals itself slowly. But I also think that complexity often for people comes from controls and such - here the input being just walking already lowers the bar a lot.
The combat that’s coming to the game I think really is the final missing piece, as then all of the hard grind you’ve done also ties to combat progression. Making the perfect combat build to beat a boss with your hard earned steps!
I just got my access to the closed beta and fired it up today. Even the initial setup, character customization, story intro, and tutorials are top notch. I feel pretty excited to get this started, more than I’ve felt about a game in awhile. Looking forward to the experience and contributing to the feedback where I can.
Thank you so much! The current tutorial is just a placeholder, and not really that finished but I tried to make that nice looking and informative as well. Happy walking, and glad you’re liking it ❤️
Oh for sure I definitely agree there haha. As far as software is concerned I don’t like the epic store. Steam is much better on that front. But I also don’t have any true moral issue with the epic store. Especially for playing a game they funded. Epic also funded and published the Alan Wake remaster. They effectively were able to bring back a long dormant series, and for that I am happy since Alan Wake 2 ended up being one of my all time favorite games.
I wish they didn’t have to keep it in their store, since I like steam more, but at the end of the day I’m not too bothered by it
You can start the discussions on this community if you’d like. I believe it’s the most active one. If you’re looking for the amount of content Reddit has…Lemmy isn’t there yet. You starting these discussions may help more and more people to contribute and add in. Which then creates more content.
Apparent scale is inverse linear, i.e., proportional to 1 / distance. If we want the apparent scale of two objects to be about 90% accurate to their actual relative scale, their relative distances to the camera can’t be more than 10% different. Pluto being 40-ish astronomical from Earth, you’d want to shoot from about 400 AU. Voyager I should be in prime position circa 2140.
This drives me nuts on the Switch on handheld. The Joycons have no natural “grip”, so it’s hand cramp city unless you invest in a grip case. Was it so hard to give the Joycons an ergonomic shape?
Don’t post accounts or keys online. Bots are a million times faster in soaking this data up, it’s guaranteed no human who could deserve it, will get it. Make a post, pick some one at random and direct message them. Still a chance for multi accounting but less than just posting it online.
The game is separate to the movies. There’s nothing to need to know before hand. Plus the movies are based on comics anyway and didn’t require prior knowledge to watch them, the game is also based on the comic characters. The origins of the characters in the game differ somewhat to the movies as well so there isn’t any benefit or advantage you’re missing by not having seen the movies.
I drove 2200 miles for this solar eclipse. I booked a place here in Dallas last year, and now it seems like it’s going to be cloudy with rain and thunder. :-/
I convinced my dad to fly over and join the road trip.
At least we got to see some incredible stuff on the way! Maybe there will be a break in the clouds…
I was in the same boat, 2000+ mile drive. NE Texas isn’t looking too bad right now! But if you’re up to it, drive up to Arkansas. I did that today from Austin-ish. Clouds up here are looking much more optimistic!
I’ve heard that it’s still a surreal experience even when overcast. Though, that’s what I had to believe to actually book the hotel room and days off work as somene living on the north-atlantic coast.
I was able to see the one back in 2017 smack dab in the middle of the path of totality and it was such a surreal otherworldly experience. No amount of trying to explain it to other people helped them really understand. Things look a weird way and there’s a very unique feel to it all.
My advice, get things set up, get your shots, start your recordings, but don’t forget to take 30seconds or so and just soak it in and be in the moment!
