I saw recent studies show that Facebook is no longer cool to younger generations, and the older generations are either not remotely interested in VR, and/or aren’t interested in Meta out of principle (security, ethics, etc). I know that’s hand-wavy and anecdotal, but I’m trying to gather who is going to buy these in big enough numbers to make them profitable. Probably just another vector that they want to hoard your data from.
Anything Rockstar and Sony related I’d assume would be shitty for Xbox people. The bonuses that PlayStation players could get for GTA Online was ridiculous, so this is nothing new unfortunately.
SEGA spent the most money ever… on a game that was years late to an old sub-genre, while mimicking games that had already failed like Lawbreakers. Great job.
I swear to fuck… All i ever hear is the latest and greatest games always crashing, and or having bugs, or some other bullshit. I sure am glad i gave up on gaming a long time ago. I simply could not function halfway right if I’d continued.
Every big game announcement and release in the last 20 years I’ve heard about you get the “I cant wait, and im on preorder 3 months ahead of time” crowd bitching that the game didn’t get released on time, and when it did they didn’t account for all the rush traffic for the start and the servers were immediately overworked, not that thats the players fault, but its always the same players who never seem to heed the age old warning of Buyer Beware and they do bare blame. One would think by now you’d have recognized this is a pattern that happens over and over and over again on the fucking regular…almost as if it’s planned that way. Maybe be done with it…Maybe it’s time to hang up the controller and find other things to do with life, if you stop paying them they will lose and you will stop losing.
Indie games have never been better. So much good stuff is coming out all the time, and there are some fantastic experiences to be had. You just have to ignore the big releases, that were pressured to put out unfinished games too early by investors.
I went to work but apparently some of my friends are still struggling to get into games so it’s not fixed yet, we just have caught a downtime period I guess.
I watch bluey with my 2 years old niece to teach her a foreign language and it’s one of the rare shows along miraculous where she can watch and ep or two before getting bored and deciding to go back to play with her toys instead. ( my sister made sure to not get her addicted to any screen but her husband got the kid slightly addicted to a few youtube songs anyways…🙃).
Bluey is a great show, but it leans to much on the “parents life amarite” side. I miss the old cartoons that were crazy and funny enough to keep kids watching but self aware enough to keep it watchable and enjoyable for the parents too, just like old cartoon network shows. We adults can enjoy some wackiness too.
You know Beamdog did all the old the BioWare Enhanced Editions that are pretty well done. Those guys definitely have a reverence for those old games and aren't just some cookie cutter studio putting out mobile shovelware. Those are real people with passion and families to feed, try not to be so harsh as to say "lay them all off"
Never heard of them specifically thats why I say all and have no qualms with their studio either but id fling em head first into the woodchuck if it meant getting some actual original new titles worthy of critical acclaim.

No the gaming industry has been run into the ground by greed i dont give a fuck about any devs or any studio theyre all to blame so stir the pot I say fire them all and replace them with AI wouldnt be any less soulless.
