Stop, do not proceed with the unlifening of my entire family. Please, if you do it may awaken some mystical power within me that I have to read carvings on walls and talk to some old monks to use properly.

When I was about 10, my mum was addicted to tetris on the GB. I’d get home from school and literally every battery in the house would be completely dead…
I talked to her about it a few years ago, she told me that for about 5 years after she stopped playing she’d dream about tetris more often than anything else.

I only bought a ps4 well after the 5 dropped, and only because my pal had got a new xbox and wasn’t playing with his ps4 anymore. Long story short I got the ps4, 3 controllers, and 5 hardcopy games for £50 and a joint. Until I can get a ps5 for that…I ain’t upgrading

I have a ps1, 2, 3 and 4, a psp, a vita, I also have a NA snes, OG xbox, xbox360 and xbox one. I pretty much don’t play with any of them, I work too much…

Didn’t they say that a PSN account won’t be required for the single player content? Seems kinda like they’re getting ready to shoot themselves in the foot again.

Haven’t had a chance to try it, but if it’s anything like Adventure mode from the freeware version(which I believe is sorta the point), it’ll be frustratingly entertaining.

Not really sure how I feel about this. IIRC Luna only works through Chrome/Chromium and that’s not how I wanna live my life…

I beat BotW, and started TotK but couldn’t bring myself to play it for more than 3 or so hours. TotK was mostly just more of the same from BotW, and I found BotW pretty dull.

Man, I still go back every few years and replay Twilight Princess. Absolute beast of a game.

SturgiesYrFase,

Metroid Prime: Federation Force.
Moon.
Dementium: The Ward.
Potentially Battlefield 3, though I was finding a lot of conflicting posts/articles. So like 3 FPS games, maybe 4, but again, couldn’t find a CIA/ROM and only saw loads of conflicting info about BF3 on 3ds.

SturgiesYrFase,

Metroid:FF is the only one with a rating over 3.4, so don’t get your hopes up…

Not seen it anywhere else in this thread so…Colosseum: Road to Freedom
Roman slave fights in the arena to gain fame, fortune and, most importantly, freedom. Super good. Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏 🙌

I could’ve done it in like 10mins. Easy-peasy. Oxy-acetylene torch, fastener can’t be stuck if it’s a liquid.

Thanks poindexter. It was a joke.

Elon Musk demanded a cameo in Cyberpunk 2077 while wielding a 200 year old gun: "I was armed but not dangerous" (www.pcgamer.com)

While Elon’s then-partner Grimes was recording her part in the game as cyborg popstar Lizzy Wizzy, the erratic tech billionaire turned up with an antique firearm to “insist” on being included in the game. “The studio guys were like sweating,” Grimes is quoted as saying. Musk adds “I told them that I was armed but not...

If Nintendo re-releases old games, in a playable format, for a reasonable price, I will happily stop pirating their old games.

Or how that compares to my dad selling my atari 2600 to make rent. I mean I get it, but I’d been looking for it for months, and when I asked him he’d sold it two days before.

SturgiesYrFase,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

It’s mostly OK. A bit sluggish, but some games are actually quite playable.

How are you liking the pocket 3+?

Cool, been trying to decide on a handheld. Maybe I’ll grab one.

Smurfing prevented me from playing LoL and Dota2, impossible to get into a game when you can’t get off the ground, the opposition is made up of smurfs and half or more of your team as well, and you get shit on for trying to learn how to play.

The struggle is real man ✊️

Larian's unfair advantage (credistick.com)

This post was inspired by two things I saw recently: The connection between these two items is not obvious, but it is interesting. The lemon problem WeFunder, for the uninitiated, is a crowdfunding platform for (primarily) technology companies. It allows community-oriented startups to sell a small % of ownership to their users...

SturgiesYrFase,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

I’d say unfair to the really big players (Ubi, Activision/Blizzard, EA) who push out broken games with predatory mechanics and little of actual value. The companies that don’t see their players as a community, but a cash pit to dig value out of for their shareholders.

I would highly recommend A Story About My Uncle. It took me about 6 hours to get all the things and do the whole story. It’s a somewhat challenging first-person platfomer. Basic setup for the story is your Uncle is an inventor and adventurer. He disappeared and you find a note and a device in his attic, the device teleports you to a different world/dimension, and you make friends and find adventure along the way.

Probably, though does that actually matter?

The SteamDeck is showing people that Linux can in fact game. And while we’re always saying “ThE yEaR oF lInUx!” This is actually a huge step in the right direction.

SturgiesYrFase,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

If Proton keeps getting better, it won’t matter. I mean it matters, because this is clearly where governments should step in and bust up the monopolies, but they obviously aren’t going to.

SturgiesYrFase,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

I think you’re wrong. It’s showing that Linux has the capability to actually run these games. Some/most people won’t be able to equate the Linux on their handheld with Linux on a desktop, but those who do are welcome to the fold.

The Deck is basically a laptop in a handheld form factor, so no, it’s not just showing that Linux can game as a handheld.

SturgiesYrFase,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

Well, we can agree to disagree.
I have 2 friends who decided to switch their daily driver PCs to Linux after getting a steamdeck, that’s 2 out of 5. Not a single one of those 5 has put windows on their deck. shrugs

SturgiesYrFase,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

Well, you know what they say:

When all you have is a hammer everything looks…like…a…uhhhhhh…Window?

SturgiesYrFase,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

Even worse, it’s a dumbed down Oblivion, which itself is a dumbed down Morrowind.

Xbox's biggest crisis right now isn't games. It's hardware. (Opinion - Jez Corden) (www.windowscentral.com)

"Today, PlayStation revealed that its PS5 has sold 40 million units. Microsoft doesn’t share hardware numbers typically, but court documents, math, and slides from an ID@Xbox in Brazil seem to suggest the Xbox Series X|S line-up is around 20-23 million units sold globally. That essentially puts the PS5 at a 2:1 advantage...

I still rock my Vita, and it makes me unreasonably angry that Sony didn’t seem to take it seriously.
