I do get that. I’m not big on the PvP personally, but it is part of the game so I’ll never shame anyone for liking it. Still, it sounds like there would be better ways to handle it then just switching servers
Sea of Thieves is such an amazing game. I love just taking my boat and doing the treasure hunting. I haven’t played in over a year because the one thing i can’t deal with is the pvp. I am not good at it and frankly i have zero interest in it. But it is forced on you and people will sometimes just chase you till the ends of the ocean to take you out. I know there is now a “safe seas” mode but it is soooo limited. You aren’t even allowed to take your own ship 🥺.
I always played with my partner and my little sister. But my little sister just ends up getting drunk, eating all the food and falling off the boat hahaha. So we put her ass in the jail sell till she sobers up.
But fuck do i miss this game… alright time to reinstall!
I love your posts btw! I check and read the whole post every day. Always gets me excited to play the games you are currently playing.
The dislike for forced PvP resonates with me. I thought about picking up Sea of Thieves (after a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon don‘t judge me) but the user reviews mentioning bad experiences with PvP put me off again. Maybe we‘ll see an unofficial shard server in the future.
It’s been hours now (and a very busy day), but I swear that half of that comment (including that section) wasn’t there when I commented regarding safer seas.
But there’s no mark showing the comment has been edited either.

When I first read this, I thought your sister was doing this IRL lol
My brother and I played a few times, but he’s not into it.
I like playing alone sometimes but then it gets boring and repetitive playing by myself. I’m not into PvP either so I’m okay with meeting AI enemies, but as soon as another human comes around, I usually noped out because I just don’t want to be bothered.
I’m not hog on the PvP either, especially when you get people who are so deep in the Meta that they’re employing advanced strategies. I’m not against the PvP, but I wish there was a way to just toggle it on or off while still being public. Because I do genuinely enjoy it from time to time.
I hope you have fun reinstalling. And thanks for enjoying it. I like seeing people try games i suggest. Makes me happy I convinced others to try new things (or pick up old ones in this case)
The Wolf Among Us, and I imagine other Telltale games (but that’s the only one I played so far). It felt a lot like Life is Strange in gameplay and storytelling, even though it’s also a lot different.
In a similar vein, point and click adventure games like The Whispered World, The Book of Unwritten Tales, or Syberia. The modern ones usually don’t have a failure state (as opposed to the infamous Sierra games), but unlike LiS you may get stuck on a puzzle.
Pretty sure that if you have a Dualshock 4 or 5,there should be a way to just use that! Modern controllers should work as generic Bluetooth controllers
Have you tried sandbox-like games, or just games that basically have no story line? Or is the more “adventuring” type of gameplay the one you enjoy the most? Personally I seem to find most games kinda boring outside puzzlegames and sandbox-things, since the typical stuff always has at least some form of grinding and I don’t really like fighting either.
I don’t know much about it, but it looks like something specific is required ti pair controllers with an Android phone. I can pair them just fine with my PC.
I’m mostly asking out of curiosity; a regular Playstation controller isn’t able to hold the phone.
It’s been like more than a decade but there was some script I used to mod a PS3 controller (via USB) to connect to generic Bluetooth devices. They use Bluetooth, it’s just something specific value that needed tweaked.
It’s a lot like stardew valley. And less than $2 in the sale. It might be a bit more puzzle game in places. Probably best to read some reviews before you buy.
I love the idea of sleeping on a train but the one time I did it I got woken up regularly by all the stopping and starting each time we got to a station.
One of the best games I’ve played in a while. Is it a technical masterpiece that will go down in history for anything, no. Is it fun af, yes. Can’t wait for the dlc.
I propose Satisfactory, Foundry, Desynced, or Shapez 2.
None of them involve anime, through I think the robots in Foundry and Desynced look cute. All of them involve building things, and automating the building of things.
Len’s Island. Will even be released the next days.
Everafter Falls
Necesse (also releasing soon)
Palworld
Enshrouded
While some might not be “chill farming” only, they could be set (or modded) to nearly no danger. Actually most (more recent) survival-games could be played that way. I do 😁
If just chill is mandatory:
Farming Together (or alone, part two also incoming)
Enshrpuded is a great suggestion. You can ignore quests unless you want to expand your plot. Just pick a plot of land and start farming. Go out into the wild to find new stuff to plant. Unfortunately there’s not much to do with your harvest except to make provisions to go play the rest of the game, but that’s how you find more things to plant. I had a great time designing the layout of my crops.
