Hey guys this is my first time playing city skylines so I am pretty new to this game though I am I feel confident on how I am going with my first playthrough feels like I know what I am doing though I would appreciate some help and just some eyes
City looks good. Time to devlop the water front area. A nice quay with a bike path and park then medium density buildings is what I like. I dont like putting builds right up next to the water.
The suburbs are good you could run a 4-6 lane road in the middle of them and have the traffic flow onto that.
My friend was unable to update to windows 11 due to the TPM requirements and looking to switch to linux. I upgraded my CPU and said they should buy my old one. They finally said OK and asked if I could help them install it before they switched to Linux. I installed the CPU and they never switched to Linux because now they have a CPU that meets the TPM requirements.
Windows users really hate change. Microsoft will force them to update and the users will whine but 1 week later they will be used to it then they will stick on windows 11 till EoL.
Today’s game is Far Cry 3. I got to do this whole quest chain where you go through some old temples and stuff. The whole thing was a lot of fun and helped break up the pattern the game had going. As much fun as i was having i felt it was starting to drag on with the some sort of missions it was having it do. The ruins...
I made my way through Far Cry 3 some more today. I did another one of those dream sequences and it made me walk through this trippy underwater bridge. Someone before said that they get boring, and after accidentally bugging it out and having to do it twice, i completely understand that. They are very slow and a major pace...
Call of duty zombies lead isn’t the badge of honour they think it is. That got ran into the fucking dirt with the least amount of creativity and game dev talent I’ve ever seen.
You could give him a blank check, unlimited time and he would still produce a shit game
Its pretty smooth but I’ve had a lot of desync issues because I have a long list of mods I try to play with.
They do PvP on the mod. Its pretty cool you have 4 teams and each player controls 1 pawn and the fight for objectives and capture and craft their way to victory.
People think Xbox is shit at the moment. Making things more like xbox isnt received as positively as it used to be. When I was a windows user and I saw anything Xbox related come up I knew I was about to deal with some clunky bullshit that was not wanted and poorly implemented.
Yes but people seem to really want a SteamOS like experience on their desktop. Thats what Bazzite provides.
I dont think steamOS is a good desktop experience but if that makes people feel safe enough to try linux then I think Bazzite does a 100x better job than SteamOS.
If they want an actual desktop that can game and do everyything then they should try Fedora with KDE.
No this is a super out of date version that was not designed for general desktop use. It is specifically designed for the steam machine which was a failure. Value really needs to take this page down so people arent downloading a 9 year old version of linux.
At the time of the steam machine wine was not in a good state (from what i’ve heard, I wasnt a linux user at the time) and gaming relied on Valve getting devs to port things to SteamOS 2.
I was an extremely casual rts player for years playing mainly aoe3. Beyond all reason captured me instantly with the controls. Basically other rts games control difficulty with limited control scheme so you require high apm. Bar gives players as many quality of life controls as they want and allows for long action queues. I can queue up a unit to operate for 10mins while I focus on other parts of the game.
Bar also has basically no pop limit so you’re only limited by the resources you control it also doesn’t incentivize storing large amounts of resources. So wealthy is income focused. This means if you have more map control you have more wealth but because units drop a %of their cost in wrecks if you’re behind and you win a good fight and can control the wreckage field you can catch up.
There is also so much more like the ability to transfer units, metal, energy to other players at 0 cost means working together is op. Strats involve a lot of “communism” and communication to decide where on the map needs the resources.
Example I might have won my side of the map and I’ll send some metal over to another player who is losing so they can stay in the fight. Or my eco player will make units and sell them to players for their metal costs. Which means front players don’t need to pay the metal and energy cost of building a t2 lab they just pay the unit cost.
More modern graphics and less unit types but more micro opportunity. Also zero k has buildable terrain in the form of ramps and walls. Bar has terrain deformation but can’t actively do it with contractors.
Idk I haven’t played Zero K but it’s a good rts as well.
Ive played faf its a very different feeling game. Faf feels awful. I’d say bar is next gen because a total annihilation style game has never been a huge rts title and I think bar is the one that can reach the mainstream rts audience and beyond.
As we can see, there is a small performance hit with NVIDIA App. However, it’s nowhere close to what has been reported. On our PC system, it’s around 4-6%. And that’s mostly in CPU-bound areas. For instance, in Indiana Jones which is a GPU-bound game with Path Tracing, there isn’t any performance hit at all....
The game runs surprisingly well. You can download the DRM-free version of the game from BioMedia Project. The files are hosted with the permission of the LEGO Group. The only fix I did was enabling widescreen support with modern screen resolutions. The instructions for that are here.
Ah fuck this is such a hard read to much emotion. What a beautiful thing the internet is. Reading this kind of unblackpilled me a bit and reminded me of the relationships and realness that are experienced online in virtual worlds.
I honestly kind of agree with this. A lot of people see metacritic/opencritic scores and take it at face value. I a lot of people that would just instantly write off a game if it isn’t higher than 80/100.
Some guilds expect their members to be ready for new expansions I’m sure they would make an exception for this fella but he seems to proud to admit he can’t afford the expansion.
I never moved from civ 5 to civ 6. Every time I try civ 6 it feels awful and looks like a mobile game. Ive got little hope for civ 7 and since it ships with Denovo I doubt I’ll ever try it.
Even on Android it seems like every game they put out these days is a gotcha MMORPG. I don’t really like playing with other people because they keep telling me how bad I am at the game. It’s just a game. So I was wondering if there was a good Android RPG that doesn’t have any social or gotcha parts of it.
I know you specifically asked for not this but its the only game i know that is a good rpg on mobile. You could play old school Runescape. Its essentially single player since there aren’t many parts of the game that require co operation. You will see other players walking around the world and talking but you can turn public chat off so you never need to see anything they say. The game is incredibly light on data usage since it was designed as a browser game in the 2000s.
After making a decent chunk in 100% L.A. Noire, i went back to (Modded) Skyrim to take a break. I took this while walking from solitude to Winterhold to start the mage’s guild quest. I believe it’s right outside of Solitude
