I just started playing COD Black Ops Cold War because I got it through my PlayStation Plus subscription and wanted to try it out. I’ve previously played some others like Modern Warfare (1 and 2) and WWII. While it always felt a bit over the top and propaganda-ish, I really liked it for the blockbuster feeling and just turning...

I don’t think nexus mods should remove the mod. 99.99% of people will just scroll past the mod. Removing the mod gives it publicity and vindicates the author.
Its insulting to me that nexus mods doesn’t respect their users enough to give them the choice to install it or not. They think they need to shield us from what is ultimately a dumb meme mod.
For me I got the feeling from dark souls 1. I was exploring because it was such a beautiful and interesting world full of treasures to find. I loved the idea that at any point in game you could find or miss out on finding good gear.
When I mean “specific,” I mean things like something dedicated to a certain genre, a certain video game, to gaming suggestions, to asking whether you should buy a certain game… anything that isn’t just one catch-all for any video gaming topic. So I’m not including the various !games@instance or !gaming@instance links....
I think the threadiverse is still to small to have individual game communities. I’d rather see people posting things about their games in a generic game community.
“Big gaming news” is generally just talking about game marketing and honestly kind of boring. I want to see people talking and sharing clips and things about their games. If there is to many posts from one game dominating the feed then they could be asked to form their own community.
Its easier to post to an active community than a dead one. For example I may not have played old school runescape in a while and I wouldn’t be following the osrs community but if I saw a thread about osrs on a generic gaming community I would be drawn into the conversation. I think having lots of people in one place can encourage people to Participate in threads they wouldn’t have gone out of their way to search.
I’m requesting for recommendations for games that stand out from the rest in their genre, and not in the sense of being the best game in that niche but actually bringing something new and innovative to the table. I’ve not had much experience in gaming, but I have a few games to give you a hint on what I am talking about:...
Portal reloaded adds time portals ontop of the normal portals.
Splitgate is an FPS that adds portals on top of Halo style combat. Very fun but may be hard to find a game these days its kinda dead.
Age of empires 3 is an RTS that adds shipments. These shipments increase the pace of the early game and allow for way more personalized play as well as allowing players to react to different things without shifting their entire build order.
GTFO is a horror fps where you and 3 other human players take on raids and these raids are changed each season. When the raids are retired they are gone. You must beat the lvl 1 raids to unlock lvl 2 and so on.
Radio Commander. Its an RTS where you sit in a tent in Vietnam and give and recieve orders via radio. You have a map that you can mark where things are based on the info you get.
This is such a great change. I wish league of legends would do the same. In lol it feels like more players have smurf accounts than not. Smurfs contribute nothing to the games and only ruin the experience for the other 9 players.
WWE 2007 smackdown vs raw! My custom character was as tall and buff as can be, had red skin, had the skill set of ray mysterio and loved hell in the cell matches.
AI is transforming the world, and NVIDIA’s Bryan Catanzaro is here to talk about how DLSS is getting even better with Ray Reconstruction technology. Through a new neural network, Ray Reconstruction works on all GeForce RTX GPUs to enhance the image quality of intensive ray-traced content....
Its wild to me how they can go through all these extra compute steps to generate an extra frame and that’s some how more efficient that generating one normally.
Factorio. I’m playing a space ex and Krastorio modded run with the science costs increased by 10x. It’s slowing down the progression a lot which is forcing me to design things smartly instead of getting by with jank. I’m about 71 hours in and I’m getting crashes which is devastating because I really don’t want to restart.
Playing a lot of factorio with the space exploration and Krastorio mod. I’ve increased science costs 10x to slow the game down and force me to build properly. However after getting to space I spent 9 hours handfeeding machines to get the logistics bit research.
I told someone in one of these threads that I do a base tour. I think pre bots is a good milestone to make a base tour. I tired to make a short video but it’s actually much harder than I thought, filming and talking is hard and editing is hard.
I love hearing about unique takes on game mechanics. Someone recently convinced me that limited inventories are kind of abused currently and that unlimited inventory systems would give more player choices.
Gathering mechanics in rpgs. It’s a waste of time neuron activator. I want to get immersed in the world and not walk from bush to bush going grabbing flowers, rocks and sticks.
I recently started a Space Ex + Krastorio run with 10x the science costs. The burner phase was absolute hell and lasted like 5 hours cause I refused to automate anything
Its looking really good except for the price. I don’t want to pay full triple A price for a game that’s going to lock key features behind dlc down the road.
