If he’s like I was and playing on hand me down office PC’s, consider getting a better keyboard/mouse, headphones, a stick of memory or something in that line to improve his experience. Actual pc upgrades are probably a little expensive for your budget, although really nice large monitors can be had for <$150 these days.
Since mullvad doesn’t support port forwarding anymore, you’ll want to split tunnel it outside of the vpn. However, if you’re considering switching vpn’s at all, airvpn has a dynamic dns service (and port forwarding) which you can set up to have a static url for your jellyfin.
Just be sure to enable the DLNA server and allow remote connections in the jellyfin settings either way.
Do you know what aspects of Roblox you’re brother likes (crafting, game building, the social aspect, etc)?
For a more crafting heavy game, there’s Minecraft or Terraria (I think). For game building, Game Builder Garage on Switch, or Dreams on PlayStation might be nice. Unfortunately, I don’t have any good social game recommendations, though.
Just finished Link’s Awakening and now I’m in the middle of Oracle of Ages! I’ve just been playing gameboy games on the switch for months lol I used to dream of playing this stuff on a backlit screen when I was a kid 🥲
I’m trying to get the last few cards in the pokemon trading card game on switch, I’ve been cheating with the rewind feature which has made life slightly less painful but it seems to pre calculate your coin flips so not as powerful as it could be, also played some tabletop simulator and started doing dragon riding races in WoW as part of that event. It’s been a crazy year for releases so it’s nice having some downtime
Play the games you know. If you know when a character is supposed to say “Get to the helicopter now we are leaving!” When you hear them say “Kommen Sie zum Helikopter, jetzt fahren wir los.” you’re more likely to have that 10-20% you wouldn’t otherwise understand click.in your head.
Also I recommend any games set in a region where the language you want to learn is set. This is because all the signs will be in that language.
I just use the unique named backpacks I find. Like I have a “backpack,” “Bewildered Adventurer’s Backpack,” “Old backpack,” “Rotting backpack,” etc.
I keep my potions in the bewildered bag, scrolls in the old bag, and throwables in the rotting bag. All the quest items (except the damn artifact) into the backpack I started with, along with my alchemy and supply pouches, gold and keyring.
If you pick up container items like satchels and backpacks, you can use them as nesting storage in your inventory (perfect for all the letters and notes you pick up for example). But you can’t name the container, it’s just “pouch”
Oh shit, I didn’t even think of picking those up. I only just discovered I can pick up the books that default to reading on click. Didn’t even think to use that on backpacks.
You might consider checking out Humongous games’ catalog. They’re point-and-click adventure games aimed at kids, so the vocabulary level may be a bit below you if you’re able to play a game like Civ6, but they can still be fun for adults despite being kids edutainment games.
