What an unexpected and strange release. Though To the Moon is still an incredible experience. It’s what any RPG Maker tinkerer dreams of releasing one of these days. I should really replay the game. Haven’t played it since its original release in 2011.
Oh shit yeah! I hope it’s good, I heard this expansion was 100% made by Gearbox, and not by Hopoo, so I’m a bit worried it won’t have the same great feel of prior content.
I know that Gearbox worked directly with Hopoo on the prior expansion, but still… it’s Gearbox.
I started Dawn of Sorrow on the Deck seems to be running perfectly. They replaced the magic seal touch screen garbage with a key combo, quick time event action instead which is an improvement. You are able to see both subscreens at once, the map and the status screen, depending on the view layout that you pick.

Why nowadays everyone hates DS gimmicks?
Is it the iPhone’s fault? At that moment the DS gameplay was the shit.
Heck I would even say Metroid Prime Hunters Online was (and still is thanks to Wimmfi) one of the most fast paced shooters thanks to the touchscreen (easily the most fast paced one of the handhelds).
The DS is my favorite handheld since I got my hands on one, and I’ll defend it until my grave.
Raytracing/pathtracing gets a bad rap imo. It’s a really cool effect that, while costly, improves the scene dramatically. Really wish more companies were pushing it, because now that Nvidia has moved on to “AI” I’m worried that it’ll die out a bit.
Most AAA companies are, but raytracing is super taxing on the hardware that they’re only viable for high-end computers. See: Cyberpunk, Alan Wake 2, Black Myth Wukong
Well, I mention that type of psuedo console device within the video. But I think it’s going to be a third option.
But yes, if Valve came out with their own full fledged console, the Xbox would have a big problem. And it’s the operating system they fear the most. If SteamOS picks up traction beyond just the SteamDeck, Windows is in trouble
I have zero interest in playing this but it’s visually stunning. I can’t think of another game with this combination of graphic fidelity and smooth complex animation.
Don’t get me wrong I adore BG3 and it is absolutely stunning, but I don’t know if we can compare a heavily curated experience like that to something like this which allows for such a high degree of customization and player created content. It will be interesting to see if the final product actually looks like this. You can damn well guarantee all of those customization options will be locked behind micro transactions though.
I was so hyped for it too. I’m a newer stealth game enjoyer (Styx, dishonoured 1 & 2 no kill undetected runs), the original thief trilogy feels really outdated to me and was so hyped for thief 4. So damned disappointing.
I’m happy they’re keeping this going but the thing I liked best in the original was watching the player’s avatar just absolutely jamming away on the trombone despite how silly it sounded
I was so excited when I got my AMD card last fall, which was my first PC upgrade since 2016. FSR 3.0 was about to come out. Then it dropped, and I realized only a handful of games I didn’t care to play supported it. Almost a year later, I still don’t think I have played anything that uses it. The newer ones look great, but I guess it’s going to be years before it’s well adopted.
