dinckelman,

This is one of the things, that’s not only a colossal amount of effort to maintain, but also a colossal waste of money. Backporting security is expensive. Backporting features to an old is is even more costly. With the W7 platform shrinking into obscurity, it just doesn’t make sense

dinckelman,

This is, more than likely, exactly what will end up happening.

They know Creation Engine is not fit for the task. They know the writing is stale and uninspired. They know that it’ll more than likely be aimed towards mainstream success, rather than being a good rpg, making it even more simplified.

I really hope i’m wrong, but I’m not holding my breath for TES6 anymore

dinckelman,

If they block access to the originals, and also release the remaster in a miserable state, like what happened with 3R, they can keep it

dinckelman,

I miss when we were able to have a single price tag, pay the price, and get a complete game, at launch date

dinckelman,

I hated it back then too. I refused to buy it, until they released the full thing

dinckelman,

That is objectively a false statement.

Phantom Liberty is an expansion. Shadow of the Erdtree is an expansion. Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles are expansions. Echoes of the Eye is an expansion. Bad Company: Vietnam is an expansion. All of these amount to a third, to a half of the total game content. We used to buy them, and will continue buying them, because they add absolutely insane value to what you already really liked.

“Exclusive cat content” that can only be obtained through a 30$ upgrade, and includes 3 new costumes, and whatever the hell cat content is, is dlc. This adds nothing of value for us, but lines the pockets of the studio shareholders quite substantially.

Just because the large players in the industry are complicit, it doesn’t change history, and certainly it doesn’t change the vocabulary.

dinckelman,

I really cant wait to get Space Age. All the new content looks really dope

dinckelman,

I’d always take a release that’s done right, over something rushed, broken, and something that will leave a poor first impression.

dinckelman,

I miss when WoW streamers, with dead animals stuck in their ceiling would shut up, and play their game, instead of spewing hateful bullshit without any education on the topic

dinckelman,

With games like Metaphor, or the ocean of brilliant indie games out there, selling a 70€ objectively downgraded remaster is an insult at best

dinckelman,

Really cant wait to play this game eventually. Very excited it’s being praised

dinckelman,

Hope they win. Very well deserved nominations

Starfield's first DLC is one of the worst Bethesda DLCs of all time angielski

Starfield steam page for the DLC currently shows eight user review score of 41%, making this one of the worst Bethesda DLC’s released of all time. This is so horribly, shockingly bad for Bethesda, because it shows as a gaming company, they are no longer capable of delivering a really good gaming experience as they had in the...

dinckelman,

Post-2.0 Cyberpunk is one of the best gaming experiences I’ve had in a long time. You can tell it’s a product of effort, and love for the project. They have taken in a considerable amount of feedback from pre-1.5.

Meanwhile, Starfield is a complete miss in just about every way imaginable, and the expansion has followed through the same footsteps. On top of that, the studio actively gaslit people who expressed disapproval, even when it was constructive criticism.

dinckelman,

It’s not a review bomb if it’s fully deserved. If you make a bad product, you deserve a bad review, and maybe Bethesda should have thought about that ahead of time

dinckelman,

I never found that to be an issue, personally. It’s not as satisfying, as it is in other games, but i enjoyed it enough

dinckelman,

Really appreciate videos like this. There are a ton of hidden gems out there, and most go unnoticed, in the incoming flood of new games

dinckelman,

I don’t understand how giant corporations repeatedly get away with treating their customers like they’re completely fucking stupid.

Some manager purposefully ordered the engineers to put the ads there. That’s how they ended up there

dinckelman,

LiS2 is definitely their worst game yet. It was just plain not as interesting as the rest, and it’s the only LiS where your main character isn’t the one with the powers. Plus horrible things keep happening to them, so it’s just depressing.

On the other hand, I really loved True Colors. I thought it was really damn nice, but unfortunately you can tell something went wrong, because it was painfully short. The entire game happens in a single tiny location, leaving you wishing for more, and it never arrived.

Ultimately I’m more excited about Lost Records these days. Still hope Double Exposure ends up being good, but LiS as a series lost its soul over time

dinckelman,

This topic has already been covered to death, and literally everyone in the industry has proven practically every point in this video wrong.

This kind of video is the pinnacle of “source? trust me bro” behavior

dinckelman,

I can’t name you a single Ubisoft game that i’ve had any interest in buying, in the last decade

dinckelman,

Small scale isn’t a bad thing. If anything, all I really want are well-crafted, appropriately priced, self-contained experiences. I just want it to be a good game, and that’s all it needs to be.

inZOI on the other hand i’m not really interested at all in. The character creation stuff looked cool, but the rest of what was shown looks really jank

dinckelman,

I still have yet to understand what is new in Splatoon 3. I play 2 casually, just for a few pvp matches every so often, and it’s good as is

dinckelman,

In 99% of the situations, i couldn’t care less what the metacritic score is. Reviewers can be paid, publications can be biased and/or tired, and in general, a lot of the scores don’t actually represent how real players feel.

This is especially obvious, when reviewing longer games, or specifically MMOs. You cannot rank that after playing for 10 hours.

My first stop for reviews is always my friends. Based on their general recommendations, i frequently find incredibly fun games, that are otherwise unimpressive at first glance

dinckelman,

That is really bad news. Annapurna has been one of the publishers that’s consistently got excellent unique games under its brand

dinckelman,

Ubisoft won’t even be getting a dollar from me

dinckelman,

The point is that they’re not getting anything from me. I’d would much rather spend that extra dollar on a really good indie game.

On the topic of which, i’ve finished Tunic today, and it’s been absolutely excellent. Strongly recommended

Why Do People Still Play Destiny 2? angielski

With the release of “The Final Shape,” the main storyline has concluded, and it seems like the developers are now just churning out random content and seasonal passes without a clear direction for the game’s future. I’m genuinely curious about what motivates players to stick around. Are there aspects of the game that...

dinckelman,

I’ve always enjoyed the identity of the three classes, and the abilities they have, plus gunplay has historically been pretty fun. That said, ever since i’ve started playing, the three things i’ve enjoyed were 1. the raids, 2. the story, and 3. my friends.

Unfortunately, Bungie make it overwhelmingly difficult to have fun in this game, by both making moronic decisions at times, and drip-feeding paying customers content, as if it’s a f2p game on life support. The latter alone has practically made me stop playing recently. You have to pay money to each each season, and all you get is a 30 second cutscene for the weekly story, plus a 10 minute adventure in a zone you’ve already been to a thousand times? Come on

dinckelman,

It’s a cultural issue.

People at Larian had one objective the entire time - making a genuinely good D&D based game. If the money comes, that’s incredible. And it did come.

People at blizzard make games with the goal of making money. The era of making something fun has been long over in this studio

dinckelman,

Once you go public, you’ve practically forced yourself into aiming for infinite growth. “Just enough” revenue is not in the vocabulary of these people

dinckelman,

Yeah, pretty much. A lot of their games appear on a 80% sale half the time, and even then it’s still not worth it. It’s not even about the money, it’s about being disrespected by the dogshit they continue to release.

I would rather give my time to a passionate indie studio, where the people put together a genuinely unique experience

dinckelman,

Being a decent human being - difficulty: impossible

dinckelman,

No wonder consoles are just not as appealing anymore.

We used to get systems, that were purposefully designed to only play games, but do it phenomenally well. That shit absolutely defined an entire generation of gaming.

Now we get a crippled PC, with dorito ads on the dashboard

dinckelman,

This is one of the best games I have ever played. I know this phrase goes around every day, but I wholeheartedly mean it.

This is the type of game you can only place once, and the experience is incomparable to much of anything else

dinckelman, (edited )

They made a gigantic mistake by announcing it so early, but at the same time, a lot of people take it way too far with the excitement. Let them cook

dinckelman,

Who gives a fuck what Russia wants. Don’t negotiate with nazis

dinckelman,

After some 200+ hours in the game, this alleged issue hasn’t even crossed my mind once. The world is absolutely gorgeous, and the sense of exploration is unreal

dinckelman,

Gothic 2 is still my all-time favorite game, so I was anxiously waiting for them to show this. So far, it’s looking incredibly good

dinckelman,

I really loved the first game, but have zero faith in the sequel. I think the whole 3d rework makes no sense, and on top of that, it’s led by a company, that’s historically made the worst choices in every aspect of development

dinckelman,

A game that is designed to be difficult, turns out to be difficult. More at 11

dinckelman, (edited )

Keep trying. Learning the choreography will get you 95% there. Once you figure out how to dance around his flashy attacks, it will all come together

dinckelman,

A lot of these are a distraction. Pay attention to the hitboxes, and you’ll get it done soon

dinckelman,

Super excited about this game, but looks like Epic already got their hands on the exclusivity deals. Just going to pretend it comes out a year later

dinckelman,

I wish more games had demos. In the era of 70€ triple-A games, you can’t even get out of the tutorial in 2 hours

dinckelman,

Four Swords came with Link to the Past too. Never played it, but it’s exclusively multiplayer, as far as I know

dinckelman,

Sounds like the chase for infinitely profitable growth ain’t going that great for them

dinckelman,

Loved the first game! Good to see they’re making a new one
