All your points are valid, but people might not judge the game based on your criteria. One could rate the game in Scale, Artistic vision or Gear progression and would not land on a 1 out of 10. Surely not on a 10/10 but definitly not on a 1. Even in your categories you have a strong bias. IMO there is no way you can give linearity a 1/10. Sure all of the sidestuff is not great but it’s there. A game with the lowest score in linearity does not even have options. Like one Mario level and that’s it.

I agree with your point how games also need to be measured by how big the company is and how great the games potential is. Totally 1/10 for Bethesda there.

Quality would be a new criteria which I wanted to exclude in scale. Sure the quality of it all ain’t great but there are a lot of poeple who enjoy gigantic maps, no matter how bland.

Those are totally valid point and I thank you for making them. I need to see whether parts of the game feel tense which is fine, or they make me physically impossible for me to play, since some sort of description of blood and venes just makes my head spin and knocks me out sometimes.

I get the great artistic picture and how the game is not meant to be nice, since it does not deal with nice themes. I’m happy the artistic vision got through and it seems to be a succes based on community response

I was playing Sea of Thieves with some friends today. Game bugged out or something because they started rendering as skeletons instead of their avatars. So i guess i have my own literal skeleton crew now

Honestly sea of thieves is a really good game. It’s the perfect play something while taking with your mates kind of game. Interesting gameplay which does not take away too much fokus and somehow a rather dynamic world and feel most session

I love solasta to bits but I think it will feel really bad to play directly after BG3. You need to have a lot of love for DnD and the jank of indies to enjoy it all the way

How does the game hold up? I also put over 60hrs in skyrim but with the release of starfield I keep on wondering how skyrim would fare as a modern release. The world and grafic fidelity can be approximated with mods, like a lot of people do, but I feel like the main gameplay especially combat und the quests are not that well done. The one thing that’s still amazing is the size of the world

Man what an incredible answer. Thank you for taking your time and writing all of that out. Some of your points especially the Roleplaying points and mods turning skyrim into something different made me realise it just maybe not my cup of tea. I’ll propably try out Avowed when it releases because I love the premise of a more colorful Skyrim with really good writing and world building (not to take anything away from skyrim, I just enjoyed the lore in Pillars way more than skyrim)

It’s just a 30 sec clip from the moder Lance Mcdonald which showed gameplay in 60 FPS, which was unachieved before since more than the native 30 FPS broke the game. Still far from a fully playable game but I cool step notheless

It’s still the game where the developers earned my most honest respect. I cannot even fathom how hard it must have been to keep pushing trough the time past launch and keep adding and adding and adding stuff. IMO they’ve reached a point past read redemption long ago and it’s allways a joy to see a new update trailer.

Thanks ill keep at it. So far I’m dancing around phase 1 but some of his moves of phase 2 habe these stupid light explosions in the precise places where I’m used to dodge the combo.

When his pattern goes easy on me I’ll get him to 20-30%, so I’m almost there. Don’t give up skeleton

Really good suggestion. So far I’m using the golden lion shield and have marikas hair, so holy reduction is pretty high. So far I’m mostly dying to getting stuck in combos missing a roll cause of those stupid light pillars

I get why the poor perfomance got the game some negative reviews, but I don’t get the batmobile hate at all. I love my little tank and thought the game had some great passages for it.

All that aside I enjoyed a lot of the story missions as well and liked the plot and how much of an impact your story progression had on the open world.
