Today’s game is Max Payne 2. I did the fun house today. Made Mona shoot a flamingo. Surprisingly the game went by really fast tonight. It took me a total of 40 minutes to do the funhouse and then manor sections, which i think are a total of 3 levels. I forget how short these games can be once you kind of know what you’re...
Today’s game is some more Max Payne 2. I did the escort mission where you guide Vinnie around to safety, and man, i love this game but also fuck this mission. There’s like no way to heal him (at least that i know) so near the end he’s a glass cannon. But the decorative kind of cannon....
I only really start to regret it towards the end lol. The fun house i enjoy though. I think my favorite would have to be the final level though. That boss fight was fun for me to figure out my first playthrough.
Today’s game is some Assassin’s Creed III. This was what i had lined up to play after Max Payne 2, and initially i was going to play some more of that. But i had decided to set this up ahead of time. Then… i decided to make sure it works… and i kind of lost track of time. These games are kind of my Guilty pleasure. I...
Yeah, I’ve sunk maybe 4 hours in already and I only just got out of Haytham’s part. Granted I went off and started doing all the Sync points, but still. The game’s pacing really is it’s biggest issue
Fair enough, especially the traversal. I can see how it’d be bad for the traversal with how spaced apart everything is. Some of them are way too far apart
I was trying to get all of them first go around and already messed up one where I had to explode 3 powder kegs, and I only missed the first one because I had to reload my pistol and was already past the first barrel by the time I finished
It’s weird thinking these all started out so bland (for a lack of a better words). It feels natural now for all the little paragraphs i include to be there, but looking back i really didn’t start doing that until around day 50. I guess i kind of acclimated too it
Yeah, I definitely get that with the stamina. They’re long sometimes. The amount of collectibles they put in don’t help at all either.
I think also my library size makes it hard for me to stick with it. When i was younger i only had like 3 games for the PS3, so my options were kind of limited. I think more options has made it hard to stick to game over the years (plus, life now definitely steals a lot of time)
Today’s game is Max Payne 2. I discovered the -developerkeys flag so you know i had some fun with that while playing. I did this shot of Max diving over a landing which i really like. My steam keeps doing this weird bug where it crashes and reopens so i only got this shot and one of him nearly hitting the ground, but i still...
Today’s game is Phasmophobia. I meant to get back to Max Payne 2, but i wanted to spend some time with my friends today. Yknow, enjoy a nice start to the weekend and all that. So we kicked back with this. The first few missions were pretty easy. We play on professional now and go through them quick. All of this is to get us...
Sometimes the slow but easy ones are simultaneously the best and worst. They always end up having me a little on edge because i’m just waiting for a hunt to pop and take one of our team mates down. Usually they go well though
Today’s game is R.E.P.O. Me and some friends have been playing the latest update. We saw there were some changes made along with some QOL features added at the suggestion of the community which we were excited for. It’s kind of nice to see a developer as active within the community as they are. I feel like all the stories i...
It’s just about 5 new monsters I think and a few levels got some new designs. So nothing Crazy. They do mix things up a bit though. I’d say it’s worth it if you have the time
I tend to look around Steam for various games and demos that barely anyone knows about. Some of them are actually pretty good and innovative, so I’ll list them here....
Fractured Blooms i remember seeing the announcement for. I remember Serenity Forge got into a bit of hot water for calling it something along the lines of “DDLC meets Silent Hill”. Otherwise though it seemed like an interesting concept
Today’s game is some more Max Payne 2. I was kind of dreading doing the Construction Site again, as last time it was a struggle. Surprisingly though it was a easy time. I guess my experience from my first play through carried over and made this a cake walk. I found this room full of explosives and a pile of chairs. I let...
I was able to get it running on Linux pretty easily. There’s some issues with widescreen (stretching) there’s an easy fix with that using the WINEDLLOVERRIDES=“d3d8=n,b” command and a patch though (or you can put up with it like i did for my first playthrough)
I might be a bit biased too with the art style. My first playthrough was only last year and it’s really stuck with me. But yeah, the jacket and gun are definitely factors
Today’s game is Project Zomboid. Me and my friends got back on the Milk Store save, we had a friend joining us later though so we had to make the drive home to pick him up. At the start of our trip we found this taxi. One of my friend’s adore collecting these things, and i enjoy collecting cars in this game. I am absolutely...
There are already some huge maps out there, Just Cause 2 and 3 both have maps at around 1000km^2^, and those games are beloved by their players. But if the next Cyberpunk game was announced with Night City now being the size of an actual large metropolis, say like New York, would you say that’s too big? What determines what...
Today’s game is some more Max Payne 2. I made it all the way through the Apartments today. The latter half when you’re in that big apartment? It was hell. I ran out of pills at the final boss fight and was basically save scumming the entire fight move by move. Maybe Lem was onto something when he asked Max “What the fuck...
It’s rare for me to replay games too. Ever since i’ve started doing these screenshots though i’ve started going back and replaying a few things. It’s really changed the way i play games
Today’s game is Max Payne 2. ever since i started doing a Theme for this month i’ve been wanting to play this because of it’s fall theme (that and the first game in winter). Now that Halloween is over it’s the perfect time for this. I even installed the widescreen fix....
Their work is awesome. I want to see them live. I was actually just listening to them on the way to class today.
Remedy sticking with them is something I love. Something about their work feels like authentic. I don’t mean it as a jab to songs made for video games, but a lot of the time songs made for video games have this “feel” where you can tell “yep. That’s tied to a specific game”. Something about PoTF’s work though feels like it’s an actual album
Alan Wake. And on a grander scope almost all of Remedy’s stuff. They put everything together where it feels like there’s more out there. There’s no seam in the metaphorical stitching. It feels like even when you reach the end of something there is more.
From less of a deep standpoint? The 3DS fire emblem games. They do some really cool stuff that connects them together.
Today’s game is some more Halo 5. Me and my friends were in voice call while playing this, and we finally nailed what feels so off about this one to us (at least on a personal level). It feels too much like Borderlands. It’s something about the art style, the fast pace, and the way missions are structured. It’s not bad,...
I almost considered referencing you when I mentioned that, but I know some people aren’t cool with that.
Thanks for the source too. I was thinking to myself last night “I should look for a source for this” but decided to put it off for today lol.
Hiring people who hate the franchise seems like a horrible move. I suppose I can see what the idea was, but I still can’t believe nobody higher up thought “wow. This seems like a horrible idea. Why are we doing this?”
Halo 5, ultimately feels like more 4 to me, so I’d say you’re not missing much besides the lore. But yeah, the design is really the worst part here.
Now that you mention the bright colors and standout interactive pieces of the earlier games, that’s definitely the difference I’m noticing between these. Like with the shutter door I mentioned. It really does not look like you can smash through it or interact with it in anyway.
Today’s screenshot is from Shift at Midnight. The game has a Demo up on Steam now. It’s this game where you run a gas station’s graveyard shift, only the twist is that some customers are Doppleganger’s who will attack the gas station if they manage to checkout. So you have to check them and make sure they arent a double...
I’m a college student currently living with his parents and i don’t work, and I planned my courses really well. Like right now I only have classes 3/7 days a week. So the result is just a lot of free time on my hand. And I’ve always been kind of diligent about personal chores (or found ways to be efficient about them)
So outside of class time, I really only spend my time studying, playing games, and hanging out with friends. It’s really a situation I’m lucky (and thankful to have)
This one was fun with friends. I saw a YouTuber a few years ago play one that also looked interesting but I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s called.
I wouldn’t mind one of these that looks like it’s going to pan out to be a horror game but then just is a regular Late Shift game
I wouldn’t say it’s a “different” game, but I play a lot with friends and they like to bounce around or try new things (and I tend to get distracted by other games too).
Sometimes you’ll notice me get really hooked on a game and play that for like a week straight. I think Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Silent Hill f were the last single player games I got hooked on like that. I tried to get into Resident Evil 2 during October too but something about it I couldn’t get into at the time. Maybe some other time.
Today’s game is The Ghost Town Pumpkin Festival. Me and some friends played this to carve pumpkins together today. It was a good time. I carved this largish pumpkin meant to look like a cat. I forgot the tail though unfortunately....
Today’s game is Halo 5: Guardians. Me and the group i usually play Halo with discovered we all have the game so we decided we’d give it a try. We played Halo 1-4, so we have nothing to lose really by giving it a shot....
I can see this reflected in the game for sure. It feels very COD-esque. The sprint always being an option is definitely the stand out example of this, but there’s also how much faster it feels in general. Along with the AR feeling more precise
I wish i had grown up on Halo, having played most of the games now. When i was first starting to get into gaming Halo 3 had just released and i tried it and wrote it off as just a Sci-fi multiplayer shooter. I was young, but damn. I didn’t know what i was missing out on. I had no idea about the Flood and the entire campaign. It took a while for me to realize the Flood was A actual enemy, and not some name for Zombies in the Infection mood.
Today’s game is Stranded Deep. I’ve kind of given up on the Horror Month thing by this point. I’m not sure why but all my interest in RE 2 suddenly vanished. Still though, Stranded Deep can be scary (at times), especially to the right audience. I was playing with my friend and we built this little house to live in. It took...
