I just finished Tears of the Kingdom last week. No spoilers, the final boss fight felt like a dragon ball Z episode. The health bar busting out of its usual bounds and hitting the edge of the screen was a “shit just got real” moment for me and the kids, lots of hype. I didn’t think I would see anything top Breath of the Wild in this generation but glad to be wrong.
I would agree with most about DA:O and Awakening. I consider that DA2 is also a good game, BUT it is really different from DA:O, and I feel like I liked it more after having replayed it later on.
I don’t really like DA:I, and it is only worth it if you also play the endgame DLC, because the base game ending is really underwhelming. And, the game managed to implement everything that I hate about “Open World” games.
Still deep in Tears of the Kingdom, but I am close to 100% of shrines and light roots. Have not even tried fighting Ganon yet, but with my power level it shouldn’t be that tough. Gonna finish it this week and then hop back to Final Fantasy 16, which I binge played release weekend and got over 50% through according to the PS5 progress indicator.
i love love love origins and da2, i have da2 tattoos, but i don’t know if I’d really recommend them. dai is overambitious and less well written than the other 2. I would give them all a shot but not feel bad about bouncing off the combat and graphics of any of them.
I just finished replaying the Arkham games. Thinking about not moving to the Uncharted series since I’ve only ever played the first game, a tiny bit of the second, and half of the fourth. Want to experience the series / story in full.
I guess this is kind of a troll comment, but Moonlight off a gaming PC or a cloud node with a GPU is actually a pretty perfect companion for the MBP’s 120Hz screen.
Old School RuneScape is a good pick. Great game and solid mobile client.
If you’re okay with optional cosmetic mtx then Albion might be worth looking at too.
AdventureQuest 3D has a single class exclusively behind paywall, but it’s a one-time fee. Beyond that it’s cosmetics and crafting speed-ups for real money currency (which is also earnable from normal gameplay)
Since the game is getting a rather big addition in a few days: RuneScape 3 is also not bad, but if you want to avoid mtx and p2w you have to pick the “Iron(wo)man” option when you start. This removes the ability to trade or use the auction house system, but in return all the p2w is stripped out (and imho the progression of your character becomes much better)
