That game was one of my favorite games. I moved somewhere with fast enough internet to get Xbox Live for the first time like 2 months after it came out and I sank so much time in to it. Ended up playing Halo more because that is what all my friends played but man that game was good.
Played the campaign last night and got reminded of the enemies that would fall to the floor and still shoot you. That was my biggest annoyance with quake 2 and still is 😂 what an amazing game though
I am playing this game again, just for the N64 campaign. For anyone who already owns a copy, gets the remaster for free as an update. It’s amazing that a game I paid $3.99 in a bundle, is getting this much packed in.
He only needs to never come back, and for him it’s easy. It’s not yet that stage when they smuggle people back, rn they just clean up cultural landscape from ‘traitors’ to make it 100% sterile. Music scene is already like that.
What a relief. He must’ve dipped as soon as he saw where things were headed in Russia. I wonder where he got asylum? But at the same time I hope I never find out, for his sake.
Anybody remember the mods for this where you had a gun that would dispense bricks so you could build stuff? There was also a mini-nuke mod that you could use to blow up said constructions. It was one of my favorite things to do in Quake II and would often result in my computer crashing because it couldn’t handle all the collision physics.
As someone who hasn’t played games for more than 15 years now, this makes me want to play again for the nostalgia; but I dont know where to start. I only have a macbook and an old laptop running linux. Will the remaster work on any of those? Is Steam the best way to install it?
