I grew up poor. What drift? I grew up on mouse and keyboard because a computer was also useful for schoolwork and it’s not like it was a gaming PC anyway, it was really crappy but could play GTA San Andreas at 20 fps.
Keyboard and mouse cost like 5 euros a piece to replace, though I don’t believe I ever needed to replace a keyboard.
Can’t have drift if you don’t have analog controls ¯_(ツ)_/¯ The pain I experienced as a kid was finding a PC controller, working a full day to get the thing working, only to realize it is complete ass, man did I respect console controllers after that.
Oh man I remember that controller. There was a little stick you could screw into the d-pad that was a bit of help for some games, but it was all pain after a while
To this day LBP 1 has some of the most incredible level design I’ve ever seen. I know some of the later entries had wilder stuff going on, but the original limiting itself to almost entirely using basic blocks and shapes with visible logic switches/machines, was so magical to me as an aspiring game dev. It was like they were putting their money where their mouth was. You can create stuff this crazy, too, because we just built it out of basic shapes.
They also deleted all my progress at some point because apparently I forgot to do some kind of transfer back when they merged with Blizzard or something. Maybe that’s partially my fault but I could never recall that I was informed to do so, and I hadn’t played in a long time.
I tried to get back into the game a while ago, but the story is such an incredible mess and hardly makes any sense being thrown from one place to another with very little information, as a new or returning player you’d have no clue where to go and what to do and what is actual new and relevant content and not. It’s incredibly difficult to get a grasp of the game if you haven’t been keeping up.
I used to hang out and chill on Titan whenever I was bored. Suddenly Bungie removed pretty much every content I ever purchased for the game including the god damn moon Titan. All the campaigns for base game and three DLCs I paid for were just gone. To add insult to injury they level capped the pinnacle gun I got from doing a PVP mission. Clearly Bungie doesn’t give a shit about money and time I spent on the game so I bailed. I uninstalled the game and moved on four years ago.
This type of behaviour is neither new, nor actively harmful. There’s really nothing you, I or anyone else can do to stop it, so the only remaining choice is to ignore it and not post screenshots in different communities where people agree with you.
The worst part is when they DO have a weight. I’ll drop a decent weapon or shield in exchange for that 300th medpack. Never know when you’ll come across a boss enemy that I have built my character very poorly against and just decimates me. Which never happens. But it could. Gotta be prepared.
I actually prefer when stuff like medicine and ammo has weight because it forces you to make more decisions. I know that’s a controversial take, but there it is!
I can go with that. With one exception, bullet sponge enemies. If I headshot a guy without a helmet, he needs to die. I don’t care what the level difference is. If bullets just do a set amount of damage, and it starts taking a full magazine from a rifle in the head to kill someone, then I better be getting PLENTY of ammo and it better not weigh a damned thing.
I don’t like bullet sponges either, so amen to that. I like it when things are lethal in general, so it’s quick to kill things if you do it well, but they can also kill you very quickly if you aren’t careful. If you can’t tell already I like games like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series. 😄
This specifically is an easter egg ending in Chrono Trigger, requiring you to have beaten the game once before to access it.
Chrono Trigger allows you to warp to the final boss and try to beat them before you would reach them through the plot, from very early on in the game. A lot of the special endings require you to do that and win at various points in the story, which isn’t possible for most of the game unless you carry over stuff with new game plus.
I believe this ending requires you to start new game plus and then take the warp to fight the final boss as soon as you possibly can.
Don’t quote me on that though, the game has something like 13 endings and I canct keep them all straight.
I’ve just looked it up, and it seems to just come from a Reddit post where they explain how they’ve worked it out, but in their working out they’ve triple-counted the N-shaped faces.
OK now they can go ahead with plan B where they allow you to link your PSN account to get some super cool cosmetic. I wonder what the reaction of the consumers will be then.
I really don't see the problem, provided it is cosmetic. If you don't want to link, you don't get a glittering, whatever in game. If you don't mind sharing your datas, then you get the shiny thing (and everyone knows you don't mind sharing your datas).
So if you mind sharing your data, don't get the shiny. You know it will become like that shiny pony back in wow's wrath expansion. It told you more about the person than anything else.
There are legitimate reasons for the devs and Sony to want your psn account linked. It’s also reasonable to not want to do so. Why not offer a compromise, like any healthy relationship, and allow, not force, account linking, with a little incentive? Where is the downside to either party?
Except now many loyalty cards are now required to get sale prices that were previously available without them. It is a bleak world where folks have to potentially choose between affording groceries and protecting their privacy.
I beat all the Danganronpas and the mini games during the trials are so annoying. I get they wanted to change things up. But at no point did I go, “Aw hell yeah peak gaming”.
