I think the product placement is meant to invoke corporate overlord cyberpunk vibes, but it’s difficult to pull that off while still wanting to make money from Adidas and Porsche. It will probably be a great game, I hope they get the tone/vibe right though.
I gotta say, the SteamDeck has been a weird journey. I’m playing a lot more high graphics titles now that I can just quickly check for a ‘SteamDeck Verified’ badge.
On the one hand, mine is a first generation portable, so there’s a lot of games it is never going to run.
On the other, it keeps surprising me what gets ported to it.
It’s surprisingly capable hardware. Doom External was running at solid 60FPS on medium or high settings (can’t remember) for me. Sure, it’s a very well optimised game, but it’s a real looker too.
Maybe! There’s much bigger spaces in this one, more assets to load etc. Recommended specs are an RTX 2060 for 1080p 30fps low settings. I would say the steam deck sits around there?
True; I made it about 3/4ths of the way into Outer Worlds before I got bored.
Meanwhile I barely got the main story started before I decided I was done with Starfield. I never thought I’d say this, but that game has too much dialog, and none of it is even the least bit interesting. I have no idea why Bethesda keeps Emil Pagliarulo around. He should have been fired 20 years ago, but instead they keep giving him the job of lead writer.
it only took how long? did a non remastered part 1 make it to pc or was that also remaster only on pc? I played the part 1 on console but not part 2, should I replay 1 before 2? Is there much you are expected to remember?
I kinda rolled my eyes when they name dropped new Vegas, people were already expecting “new Vegas 2” the first time for some reason. I kept my hopes low and was still kinda disappointed by outer worlds, didn’t hate it at all, was just left sitting there after I beat the game, thinking out loud “thats it?”. My whining aside, I do think that they’ll do better in a sequel.
Same. I beat that entire game and put at least 40 hours into it I’m sure, and I couldn’t tell you a single plot point. It’s been a few years for sure, but I haven’t played Mass effect in like a decade and I could tell you the entire story from beginning to end.
My biggest problem with BL3 was the baddies. I never played BL1 (I know, I’ll get to it). But BL2 with Handsome Jack, you just love to hate him he was such an onion (with layers). And Pre Sequel was forgettable. BL3 was SO much fun the gunplay was fantastic, and some of the side quests were pretty alright. I just hope BL4 is not a cringe fest zoomer humor.
