I often stay away of new games because that exactly, the hype. If you play a new game and you say it sucks, everybody yells at you, but if you let past the time, it’s the time the one who gives reason to people.

This happened to me with Resident Evil 3 Remake, I didn’t knew that had so many haters behind but I really enjoyed the game. One thing to hate, they say, is the short duration of the game. I mean, you could beat the original game in 2 hours, if you didn’t knew nothing about the game, could take you like 7 or 8 hours

I’ve lost any emotion for new games of this franchise since, like, last 20 years

This is what I do. I do replay the old or play them with hacks. No matter how, those indie games always feel like a ripoff.

a videogame isn’t a big mod out of an engine? Like, GTA V, is a mod of RAGE engine?

Game recommendations

I want to get some recommendations on hardware (controllers) and games. Here’s my lunch time idea. Right now I got a high power 1080p projector that we watch movies on every night. Let’s say I got 8 players and a run of the mill computer. It does have a midrange nvidia card and AMD processor but let’s ignore that. What...

Basically you ignored out all the hints the game gave you, and asked Chat-GPT for it instead.

Tic-Tac-Toe.

Edit: I remember that were a version of pac-man that was like 32x32 pixels.

Yeah. Now I only have like 3 hours to play by day and I’m not gonna waste them in losing.

By the time, I got better at puzzle resolving games. Has been a while since a get stuck in a videogame.

What are your favourite single-player games without much fluff, grinding or difficulty spikes?

Hello, in the recent years I find myself willing to spend much less time and energy on games, but I do still enjoy them. Oftentimes I end up quitting a new game I tried out relatively early on, because I’m encountering some block, grind, non-optional boring side quest, empty open world, uninteresting clutter or details that I...

The Stanley Parable and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. I’m getting the no play for 5 and 10 years achievements with no cheating.

The only game that I’ve ever played like this is SNES’ game Ball Bullet Gun, it was like 12 yeas ago. It doesn’t have a story. You make your team, and play against another player. Playing it alone is kinda boring.

Every time they delay the game my thought is “well, they are updating some technology that got obsolete due the delays”

I don’t think so. Gates’ shoes are big ones.

capuccino,
@capuccino@lemmy.world avatar

Well, I guess that Gates can’t fill their own shoes too

When people plays like that, just fucking around, I like to say that they are in “streamer mode”. It’s like tiktokers breaking stuff or throwing food to get views

It’s like people who watches sports but don’t do any.

Edit: Well. after a few minutes of reflection, I wanna contribute with my two cents and say that it’s pretty common to do this kind of thing of watch videos instead of playing games, but it is done under very specific circumstances, like, I am a SFIII 3rd Strike player and I have a job to, so, I can’t be playing all the day. Competitive players need to be being in contact with the game that they wanna master to not get rusty faster, so watch videos is a way of getting that contact, view plays and movements and get that in your head till the moment you got a fightstick in your hands to be able to put in practice all those toughs

Fornite is a high definition pixel art game too
