Online is definitely more fun with friends. The Ragdoll physics rockstar has alone makes it fun to play with others because it results in wacky situations (like my friend falling down a ladder, or me tripping him with a lasso and causing him to fall into a lake)
Additionally, have you ever played Driver San Francisco? I doubt there’s a copy available today, but maybe you could source one? Its a really good game.
I have not, but I do believe i watched a YouTuber talk about it years ago. It looks like it’s available for PS3, and I literally just ordered a PS3 yesterday. So maybe I’ll try breaking it in with that if I get a chance
I like Assassin’s Creed games, loved 2, enjoyed 3, and 4 is considered the best, but for some reason I couldn’t get into it. It’s possible that I have changed, cause I played 2 and 3 closer to launch, and 4 only in last couple of years.
Not sure if I should continue with the rest of the series, specially Origins etc. heard they are very bloated. Maybe I’ll give Mirage or Shadows a try.
4 for me is probably carried a lot by the story for me. Though I do enjoy the Naval combat. If you like the Stealth i’d suggest Unity. It has by far the best refinement of the Stealth mechanics
Yeah, main story itself wasn’t bad, it was all the side stuff I couldn’t get myself into. I did finish the game, but gave up on all side stuff around mid way.
Yeah, i get that. I’ve been going through getting collectibles today and some of them take forever. I’m dreading getting all the chests. Idk why Ubisoft insists on adding so many every game
it’s definitely one of the best in my opinion. It has good Story and Gameplay and the graphics hold up surprisingly well for it’s age. My suggestion would be to pick it up on sale, because most of the Assassin’s Creed Games go on sale for like $5-$10. I’d be surprised if this one didn’t
I’ve heard so many good things about Control. I tried it twice, and couldn’t manage to play more than a couple hours twice. I guess it’s just too creepy for me to like it.
I feel like outside the box gameplay and story is Remedy’s MO. Alan Wake has the Story and Flashlight mechanics, Control has all the Parautilitarian mechanics and the lore with The Oldest house and Director. Even Max Payne as far as i’m aware was unique with the Bullet Time mechanics
My favorite part of control is how they go into juuuuuuust a little bit of explaining how things work in a science way, and sometimes you can almost feel how things are connected, and then it’s like “Yeah we have no fucking clue how any of this actually works, we’re just trying to keep it all from destroying the universe and keeping notes along the way.”
And then you meet the next thing that almost makes sense. Until it doesn’t.
I don’t remember if I ever finished AW but I do believe I have the disk around here somewhere. The control dlc definitely rekindled my interest.
Oh man you need to play the rest of the series! And they’re all super cheap for the sale! They’re all honestly worth full price so the fact that each one is like $2-5 is an incredible deal.
And Arkham Knight is still one of the best looking games imo.
I went ahead and picked up the entire bundle plus origins. I think after Asylum I’ll put it on a brief hold because I’ve been also wanting to really play and finish Control. But after that I want to go back to Arkham and do City and maybe origins all in one chunk
complimentary shaders is what you want. they are lovely and they even come with potato PC options.
they also do reimagined (which is like normal minecraft but better) and they do Unbound which is updated water animations and smoother sky textures, etc.
they run great. i run them on my steam deck and they look beautiful.
We are always allowed to admire oddly hi-fi graphics. I love shaking the vodka bottles in Half-Life Alyx. The liquid inside waves and bubbles and if you hold it up to a light source, the light glows through!
