Senior Chief Petty Officer. Starfleet is in my blood, and I’ve spent my entire adult life in service to boldly going.

Keiko and Molly are my favorite humans, but Transporter Room 3 will always be my favorite.

Just don’t ask who what’s in the pattern buffer.

“hey let’s release the same thing over and over again, charge almost full game price for it, and whenever something new comes out, just delete everything they’ve already paid for.”

“hey why aren’t people continuing to buy our game…”

Yeah. Great mystery, that one.

Bungie will never get another dollar from me.

Sweet!

I’ve never been able to get into them, but I’m definitely buying this as a gift for someone.

Day 122 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I’ve been playing until I forget to post Screenshots (pixelfed.social) angielski

I Continued Uncharted 4 today. I played Chapter 12, which had me driving a boat. The whole section is really pretty, the only part i hated was when i was driving around trying find 3 damn dolphins for an achievement. I found 2, but could never find the last. I have come to the conclusion i hate dolphins....

Idk how hard water coding is, but I imagine it’s hard since good looking water seems rare.

That is some damn fine looking water

Excellent shots.

Emulators are like a hydra.

Go ahead and take one down. There’s 100,000 still left to choose from, with a million more well on the way.

And the ones I’ve already got still work juuuuuust fine.

Day 95 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I’ve been playing until I forget to post Screenshots (lemmy.world) angielski

Today’s game is Alan Wake. I finally started on Episode 6. I was hoping to clear it in one go and nab the Gunless wonder achievement too. So far I’m doing good. But I got stuck on this section in some woods where I don’t have any flares or flashbacks, and since I can’t use guns or I’ll lose the achievement, I’m...

There are parts of video games that always feel too clean. That sign is one of them.

It would take years for a team to custom weather every model in the game and the file size would probably end up being huge.

I still haven’t tlfinished this game, I can’t even remember what made me stop playing. But after playing Control again, I want to replay AW.

SARGE,
@SARGE@startrek.website avatar

There’s no need when people shit money all over them.

Why bother finishing if there’s no incentive to do so?

Star Citizen

“drying funds”

Have we checked to make sure they don’t have a banana stand nearby? Specifically looked at the walls?

People like this get to piss away money while millions go homeless without a meal today.

I don’t understand some people.

Suggestions? Games that won't make me feel alone? angielski

I need some suggestions on what to play. Single Player games only. Most of the games make me feel lonely and alone. In most of the games, the protagonist has to deal with the problems on their own, like Control, Crysis, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War (I liked the original 6 more than the new ones, even though the new ones had...

I keep seeing aa lot of neat things about Kenshi, but when I tried it out I felt completely lost and lost interest before I really figured anything out.

I don’t like when games baby you, but I do like a little hand-holding to get me started.

Maybe I’m just a big dum and turned off the tutorial/tips/skipped something I shouldn’t have? Not sure but your comment definitely makes me want to give it another go when I have a couple of days free.

I'm tired of every game being live service angielski

I’m really frustrated with how almost every new game these days is being forced into this “live service” model. It seems like no matter what type of game you want to play—whether it’s an RPG, shooter, or even something traditionally single-player—you’re stuck with always-online requirements. And for what? It adds...

SARGE,
@SARGE@startrek.website avatar

I haven’t played a live service game since Destiny 2 decided to completely remove all the shit I paid for, then lock everything new behind even more pay walls.

I’ve been playing dozens of games since then. It’s not hard to find games that aren’t live service and likely won’t be touched outside of stability and a couple QoL things here and there.

I’m all for laws requiring all games to be playable offline, and without any sort of bullshit “online activation”. I paid for a game, I want to play the game without having to download shit first. I want to play the game whether my hanky-ass internet connection is stable or even nonexistent today. I want to be able to use the thing I paid for without having to jump through extra hoops, no matter how large or “on the ground” the hoop is. It’s still a hoop.

Day -11 of posting a screenshot from a game I've been playing until I also forget to post screenshots angielski

Today is Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty from the Master Collection, Volume 1 on Steam. This is really just the HD edition from a decade ago though. But they did seem to enhance the visuals a bit, and like the other collection games, it comes with some background material like a Screenplay. This was probably my 20th time...

That could mean that the already content players are still happy with their game, and the vocal haters don’t have enough to hate on that doesn’t sound petty.

I say that as someone who has not played CS2 and plays 1 heavily modded… So the fuck do I know

SARGE,
@SARGE@startrek.website avatar

That’s unfortunate.

I do enjoy builders and management games, so I was hoping it had improved.

I’ve got my fingers crossed that they pull a No Man’s Sky and actually strive to make a playable game, but the longer it takes, the less likely it seems.
