It’s definitely some of the most fun to be had, especially when bringing it to parties or a friend’s house. I wish they brought back the Bombs on the field when playing Vs. mode too, it felt like a good way to balance their only being 2-4 players per a race.
About that blood. Valve forgot to remove it before submitting the game for age ratings, and despite multiple updates over the years, they’ve never bothered to address this. Also, I wish Portal 2 had hard-mode remix chambers like 1 did.
The blood is interesting, i guess they thought not too fix what isn’t broken. Also, yeah, i’d kill for a hard mode remix of Portal 2. Definitely make the repeat playthroughs more interesting
My first time running into him in the hallway he freaked me out. He wasn’t doing anything on trapped behind bars, but I was terrified to be near that hallway.
These posts have become a “guess the game” game for me. I look at the thumbnail first, make my guess, and then open the post to see if I was right and maybe get a little story along with the answer. :)
The stories are probably my favorite part of sharing the screenshots. It’s easier (and more fun) on Multiplayer games though imo. I feel like a lot of single player game’s stories boil down too “I made it to this point, I want to make it to this point next”
I played silent hill and silent hill 2 long ago on a PS2, really enjoyed them and I’m up for giving this a go. Did you mention in another post that you’re playing it on a steam deck? I would be doing the same, how’s it going? Steam says it’s unsupported.
It’s been playable. I play on Dock so i can usually lock it on max clock speed. But at 720p it runs pretty smoothly. There’s only been a few times where I’ve gone “okay, there’s some noticeable frame drops here” but even then it wasn’t any critical sections. It’s worth noting though that I haven’t reached the end so that’s subject to change
This makes me want to go back for a 3rd playthrough. Especially since I have a steam deck now and have been playing through older games, like Sekiro right now.
Steam Deck is great at handling it, at least for the first hour. Last i checked It had this crippling bug on SteamOS where performance just started killing itself after a while. Changing the Video cache size from anything other than the default also hurts it. It runs fine beyond that though and would highly suggest playing if you want to play it on the go
That’s definitely the vibe i was getting towards the end when i first tried to play through. It felt like it was dragging on a bit. I almost wonder if all the cut content would have made it drag on longer or if it would help with the pacing
