Previously, I have not commented on your posts, but I appreciate them. You have your imitators and they have some good stuff, but so far as I can tell, you’re their progenitor. Thank you for your Lemmy contributions.
Obviously this comment doesn’t add much to the conversation, but it’s my 1337th comment, so I wanted it to be a joyful one … And currently every other post on my feed is depressing or at least highly contentious, so I would appreciate you for being the exception even if I didn’t enjoy your content.
Thank you for the appreciation. I enjoy sharing these screenshots with people, it’s something I look forward too everyday. I feel like it offers a nice variety and it makes me happy seeing what people have to say about the games in the comments.
A 50:50 mixture of Isopropyl Alcohol and destilled water burns extremely cold.
Soaking a wooden sword in it and lighting it would result in a wooden sword with fire enchantment. It would not burn the wood itself. You can even soak a cloak in it - it does not harm the cloak one bit!
Edit: this is for all those, who wanted a burning wooden sword in Minecraft. I know I wanted one.
I loved the Guybrush Threepwood reference they had in the game. It’s off to the side of the image you have there with the portrait paintings if memory serves!
I played the original Monkey Island and I gotta say I loved the Sea of Thieves adaptation. My wife and I completed all achievements of all Tall Tales a while back, started to feel like a chore but the Monkey Island ones were a breeze. Loved it.
Also loved the Pirates of the Caribbean ones though.
Compared to the original Tall Tales and the Monkey Island ones, I think the PotC ones were the worst. They added those underwater shrines, ocean crawlers and sirens which are all a massive pain in the bottom.
Imo Unity was probably the last “great” Assassin’s Creed game. I love the customization in it, the parkour and stealth like everyone else mentioned, even the combat was pretty fun.
I was like. Hey I recognize this one. You sorta missed out as the game mechanics were massively changed. In the old version I could not really do a jack of all trades but in the new one I found jack of all trades works out great.
Your still limited in your distribution and there are tradeoffs. So you will not be able to do 20 stat checks for all stats and you will not have access to level 20 perks but its a pretty small amount of stuff. So its possible but its not like the generalist can do everything a min maxer can do in their maxed stats. Its pretty generous though so if you have the dlc you can max 3 out of 5 stats and off the two that are left you can nearly max one of those so even min maxing is really just a matter of identifying a dump stat. I like the generalist build though. I find I can do any playstyle really with 15 in each stat rather than 20 and again its just missing a level 20 checks (with the dlc one stat can even still be 20) and perks that I kinda consider to be overkill in most cases.
Online is a lot more “dailies” (as my friend who plays FXIV likes to call them). So like daily quests to get gold and bounties and things like that. They also have PVP things and races, I can’t vouch for those though as I’m not really big on the PVP after getting a Hacker in my first few games. there’s a bit of a story too. It’s not too long but it’s fun to play. Though irc it strong arms you into multiplayer if you don’t have a friend to play with.
I tend to stick to mostly doing bounties, which is one of the careers you can pick up. There’s also Naturalist, Collector, and Moonshiner irc.
All of them need licenses though to get, which costs the game’s in game premium currency (gold). It’s not too hard to get ahold of in game (i get like 0.25 per a bounty at max payout with licenses being around 10-15 Gold irc, you can get gold for other things too like daily quests). I know Premium currencies are a turn off for some people though
Just finished it for the first time, have been telling all my friends about it. There’s something about how messy the lore is. Some collectables don’t tell you anything except shape the atmosphere of the oldest house, which is so nice. It was so beautiful too. Really good low flying game. I’m gonna definitely check out some other titles by this studio. I’ve played AW 1 and loved the connections to that. Just a real surprising 10/10 for me.
10/10 seems to be the general consensus. The only complaint I’ve heard is with Jesse as a character, which while I’m not sure I understand, does seem to be the most common.
Being a huge Alan Wake fan it definitely is a pleasure to play through. I’m excited to get too the AWE DLC for it
If you enjoyed Control, I highly recommend Signalis. Similarly creepy, unsettling vibes from everything, lots of exploration and really tense combat, and a story that holds enough back to keep you wondering.
I’ll definitely put it on my list. The story and scale of the Remedy Universe was one of my favorite parts of it. I’d kill to experience something similar
