Pi-hole is also an option and while it isn’t perfect, it can block many ads at the network/dns level for devices that can’t support adblockers. prepares shotgun while eyeing new smart tv suspiciously
Sorry, I have an ad blocker on my phone so I genuinely have no idea if there are ads on a site or how bad they are anymore on mobile. Try flipping to reader view to see it without ads?
As far as I’m concerned, all ads are aggressive. I don’t want to see any ads, period. Using an adblocker is a norm. It’s not only a matter of civilized online experience but also privacy and security (latest example). Of course you are not required to use one, but don’t go online complaining you see ads.
If you don’t have an ad blocker installed though, seriously, I can’t recommend getting one enough. It’s legit like night and day how different it is. There are occasional inconveniences, but it is overall so, so much better for browsing QoL.
By getting stuck on certain invisible objects and walking back & forth on the spot because pathfinding algorithm glitched. Also, walking up and down a riverside because an enemy was spotted at the other side.
Whelp at least Paralives could be fun? Or that other one being worked on by Paradox? We honestly just need someone to save us at this point. Anything else would do so well even if it wasn’t quite as polished. It just needs to be feature complete at launch.
This update is mostly about making it easier for modding iirc, so while it will break your mods you hopefully wont really have to worry about it again after this update, and modders should have an easier time making cooler stuff now going forward
New update means new farm for me. I like that the update focuses on the modding aspect. I always wanted to try one of the bigger mods but I was always scared it might break my saves.
How much do you want to bet that most of the things wrong with Ubisoft games are results of bosses ordering a sacrifice of quality to achieve maximum monetization rather than anything the workers have a say in?
How much do you want to bet that Ubisoft massively overhired personnel when they were making money hand over fist, forgetting to take into account how much money they could actually make from their IP?

The problem is that AAA gaming hasn’t really innovated that much in the last decade while development costs go up to fund better visuals. Worse, consumers won’t pay for the higher development costs.
I’m surprised that the gaming industry is as large as it is.

seeing as how using genAI even during development is still rare enough that it makes the news, I can’t imagine it’s been as big of a problem for them as they make it seem. this sounds more like a smaller publisher taking a popular public stance for the PR.
