There’s about 3 mountains and a valley between what they did and baby mode.

I beat 5 of the bosses so far, and I’m wondering when they’re going to start being fun. Because I’m not having fun killing bosses, and every boss feels the same to fight.

The game doesn’t need to be super nerfed, but right now even From is admitting they need tweaking.

    If this was a soulless cash grab, it wouldn’t be half as optimized as it is now. I climbed a peak, and could see the other side of the map without any frame drops. AAA titles still struggle to do that.

    It is bootleg Pokemon, but it’s also a well made game.

    The game mechanics are interwoven pretty well, the performance is great, and the pal fights are unique and full of personality.

    The people who made this game busted their asses. That’s the opposite of soulless.

    God of war is the best game I ever watched on YouTube. Playing it not so much.

    There was a period of time when a massive influx of shovelware was released. Think stuff like the ET game. No one wanted to buy it, and the industry almost became a bust. Nintendo came in and almost single handedly revived the entire industry by releasing novel, high quality games like donkey kong. This is why Nintendo is a modern household name and why you mostly see atari in museums.

    My point is that the line between the two is so blurry that I’m not convinced there’s an actual distinction other than elitism. Genre doesn’t mean “every game is exactly the same” having a wide variety in mechanics is a good thing. I don’t think having permanent upgrades outside the dungeon, for instance, is enough to make a game a different genre.

    My adblock blocks the ads, but I still get that stupid purple screen. What really annoys me is that it’s a minute and a half long. Twitch really wants me to disable ad block so I look at an ad on a Livestream for almost two fucking minutes.

    I minimize and do something else until then but that’s asinine.

    Every time I throw the batarang for the first time in every arkham game I immediately hit the ground because I forget about the inverted controls.

    I recently reinstalled monster hunter world only to find I need to grind anjanath a hundred times to get my artillery charm upgrade.

    I saw someone playing it and aside from the window dressing you’re left with a generic fps where you strafe side to side.

    I might have considered buying a Ubisoft game for the first time in years if this was more like Horizon, or something other than this.

    There’s not enough wackiness in the trailer. Fallout has always had a thin veneer of grimdark with a whole hidden iceberg of goofy bullshit and it was amazing.

    No, it like being charged hourly to read a book, and the book has a bunch of copied and pasted paragraphs saying “protagonist killed 10 chickens.” And the ending to the book costs extra.
