Most emotional moments in games? (SPOILERS)

Just for the heads up, this thread will probably have a lot of spoilers. I’m gonna try to go vague on spoilers for anybody that hasn’t played Hotline Miami 2. If you’ve played the game, you’ll probably know what I mean, but I’m going to say some purposefully esoteric shit to keep it out of full spoiler territory....

CatBusBand,

The entire questline of Alice (hedgehog grandma) in Spiritfarer. After that, I just couldn’t finish the game. I don’t know why it affected me so much.

CatBusBand,

Prepare some tissues because that game hits you like a truck

CatBusBand,

Oh god I hope water types can be used as a water gun

CatBusBand,

Unpopular opinion but FNV is terrible at environmental storytelling. I vastly preferred exploring in Fallout 4. In FNV, the locations felt empty and it’s more of a go to A then go to B. It’s a great RPG though.

CatBusBand,

I don’t know why but your comment made me laugh. Thanks

CatBusBand,

Kim our beloved. Everytime I see that dialogue, my lifespan increases

CatBusBand,

Missed opportunity to name it ShreKart

What are your favorite video games that force you to pull out the pen and paper? angielski

Ever since the language puzzle in Tunic that got me to fill up 6 pocket sized pages of notes over multiple days while trying to puzzle it out as I tried to and, eventually, succeeded at translating the in-game “paper” manual, I’ve had a craving for games that force you to pull out a notebook and take notes/puzzle things...

CatBusBand,

Oxygen Not Included. Gotta compute the rate at which dupes consume resources to adjust production. It’s so hard yet so satisfying. The dupes are extremely stupid though

CatBusBand,

I do yearly rewatches of Until Dawn - Scary Game Squad. It’s five slightly drunk guys keeping teenagers in a horror movie alive. They played this at release so all their guesses and theories during the game aren’t influenced by what they saw on the internet.

CatBusBand,

New update means new farm for me. I like that the update focuses on the modding aspect. I always wanted to try one of the bigger mods but I was always scared it might break my saves.

CatBusBand,

I know this is supposed to be the final update before ConcernedApe really focuses on Haunted Chocolatier. However, he also said that about 1.5. Not that I’m complaining. Love the guy and his passion

Looking for a casual game that I can quickly pick up or put down (kbin.social) angielski

I have a few games that I am playing at the moment, but a lot of them require at least some time commitment once you start a round. I'd like something that I can start now and maybe finish later. Something on the line of Solitaire or https://mergetin.com/ .

CatBusBand,

Gonna be a bit of an out there recommendation but old Popcap games are available on Steam. They’re good casual games if you don’t mind the lack of challenge. I personally like PvZ, Zuma Deluxe and Feeding Frenzy 2

CatBusBand,

I cannot stop playing Oxygen Not Included. Apparently my idea of fun is simulating fluid mechanics and learning about heat transfer and gas diffusion in the middle of the night

CatBusBand,

Have you tried What Remains of Edith Finch? It’s a good story heavy game that’s pretty short. Return of the Obra Dinn is a deduction puzzle game that can be done in short sessions. Celeste is also good for short sessions if platformers are more of your thing.
