I just recently quit Game Pass because I wasn’t really using it for a while. I knew before but never really understood how terrible renting games actually is.
So instead of re-subscribing to Game Pass once more I just bought Starfield on Steam.
I bet there are tons of games on steam that have stolen assets and shitty mechanics that inexperienced developers put up expecting only a few people to play
I mean honestly, I wouldn’t give my kid a switch, not unless it was hacked. Have you SEEN how pushy Nintendo is for users to spend money on subscriptions and new eshop games?
Or you could just… disable the eshop on a regular, unmodded switch through parental controls? I mean, nothing against modding but you hardly need a modded switch to block “pushy” sales and subscriptions.
Honestly, I have not. That might be because I haven’t clicked on that notifications button since I bought the thing. I’d be way more worried about a smartphone.
The quest where you help the girl find her “pet” and you find out at the end that it’s a bearer who was petrified is super fucked up. The whole time you think this girl is talking about a dog or cat. It really hits home how normalized treating bearers as less than is in this world.
The one place I need a map is the confusing ass labyrinths that are the dungeons. My only complaint about the gameplay so far is the dungeon layouts are nonsensical and confusing. I actually have to use the scanner to find a way through everything.
