After Capcom’s DRM fiasco, they’ve poisoned the well something fierce. Giving us more of the genre they established smacks of Resident Evil many years ago when 6 was out and was followed with forgettable spinoffs. That will poison the rest of the reservoir. They never learn.
Even if one of them was a Code Veronica remake like we want, I am holding my breath. I bet one of them is a Live Service game, because they haven’t learned with their OTHER attempts at that.
Never did like the expectation of constant updates to a game. I always saw the new stuff that came from live service updates as a bonus to a game, not a requirement.
Last year after I showed off my brother the Steam Deck, he decided to sell most of his CS:GO skins and purchase with the money the Steam Deck (but 64gb model). It was one of his best decisions, because he was thinking of getting a cheap laptop to play simple games and do simple web browsing.
If it's optional, I don't mind if multiplayer is being considered. However, I want them to focus fully on making a rich single-player experience (my personal preference for games) as a lot of games that just shoehorned in multiplayer were lacking in the single-player experience. My interest is always diminished by the mention of multiplayer, I will take a wait and see approach when this sequel is released and reviewed before forming a real opinion.
I have been checking for updates on this since I first heard of it on the loading screen of PoE2. If it’s anything like the pillars games I am gonna be real happy
