It’s a real bummer that we’ll never get the conclusion to RWBY after 9 volumes. Even if the quality has been on a steady decline since volume 3, and volume 9 itself was a fucking joke, I’d still prefer to see the story wrapped up. I was mostly just in it for Jen Taylor though, so hopefully she does something else awesome.
Man I’m glad I stopped watching after volume 3 then. I remember thinking that the early seasons weren’t great aside from some action sequences, and that maybe once they got the ball rolling they could do the story more justice. But it needed to get better after V3, not worse lol.
I stopped for a long while after Adam and during the pandemic and I have to agree. Patricks chemistry with everyone is great, the Ryan lore well runs infinitely deep and they cast in general seems to be having more fun.
It’s a similar kind of content it always was but it’s making me laugh like it used to so I can’t complain.
Brought u this thing with Lawrence, Bruce and KassemG is also pretty excellent.
The podcasts were the main thing I interacted with nowadays so I’m glad those are sticking around, but I grew up with the company and it’s sad to see it go. I hope the roost can continue but I don’t see how this doesn’t hurt the remaining talent.
I remember watching Red vs. Blue back before it was even on Youtube. Fuck I’m old. That was the era of the internet that, for me, was at its best. Before everything became a collection of solidified super services and people made shows by just moving a character model in Halo around. As others have said, the true end of an era. Also RIP to Monty Oum. Man was an auteur. Horny weirdo, too, but also an auteur.
They’ll have to keep making the same juvenile milquetoast commentary and regurgitated gaming news on a different youtube channel. Half of their traffic can be attributed to Alanah and her drama that has nothing to do with their content.
Does this mean Tales From the Stinky Dragon is shutting down too? While it’s not the best DnD actual play, it’s still pretty great. And i still hold out hope that Gustavo brings back Black Box Down some day
Edit: nvm i read the article and the podcasts are staying
I haven’t watched their videos in a long time but I actually listen to a few of their podcasts… damn how wild. One of their podcasts posted on IG they’d try to keep going.
Interesting! There isn’t much of a story to Slime Rancher, so I could see a standalone film, free to do its own thing and set it that universe being fun.
There’s enough plot hooks to work off of though. Beatrix LeBeau signs up to go to the Far Far Range to take over a ranch in disrepair, left behind by Hobson who has mysteriously disappeared. Beatrix leaves behind their lover Casey, the two experiencing a long-distance relationship and the struggles that come from being so far apart from each other. Whilst striving to rebuild the ranch back up to its former glory, Beatrix slowly uncovers what happened to the elusive Hobson and revealing the mysteries of the Ancient Ruins, The Glass Desert, the reality-changing Quantum Slimes who seem to indicate more than one reality can exist, and ancient portals between worlds.
I mean, how could that not make for a great movie!
