Ya found me! 💕

  • Plants don't have nerve endings, nervous systems or brains to process fear/pain. There is no comparison between 🐔's & 🥔' s.
  • Eating 🥩 because you enjoy it is the moral equivalent of watching 🐶 fighting because you enjoy it.
  • Feeding a cow for years, then killing it for only a handful of meals is wildly inefficient. ♻️
  • Studies link meat to heart disease, strokes, diabetes and pancreatic cancer.🫀
  • Beans are cheap af. 💵

It's either journalism, in which you talk about news that comes up. Or it's being a freelance PR for publishers saying what they want, when they want in order to keep in the embargo ecosystem.

But that choices has been decided long ago by the major """news""" sites like IGN aren't, never have and never will be actual journalistisc outlets, they are a sock puppet hype machine for publishers to make ads and generate meaningless 9.5/10 reviews.

FoundTheVegan,
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

Wait, what?! 😂 Okay, so is this gonna be a cloud based thing, because how stadia was so successfull? Or are these going to be downloaded apps? Or just stand alone choose your own adventure like black mirrors bandersnatch?

On its website, Netflix says by the end of the year it'll have 86 games for subscribers to play. This includes the recently announced Grand Theft Auto Trilogy - Definitive Edition off the back of the first trailer for GTA 6.

Or are they gonna mail me a disc for gta again? Lol I'm genuinely so confused what this will eventually look like.

FoundTheVegan,
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

Orly?! I had no idea! And also... no interest in actually looking into those games or buying Netflix again.

Thanks for the clarification! ♥ 💕

Co-op would a antithesis to entire design of the game. Thw unique control scheme is central to its story. Two sons is a great single player game to wrap your head around what are fairly basic puzzles, but having two players would just be bland and generic, It was never intended for two people, and to make remake it as on would essentially be making a entirely separate game

Oh HECK yea!

Mullins has a wonderful style and consistently puts out wonderful clever experiences. He is up there with Concernedape as my favorite devs.

Malibu Stacy can't stand up, her face is mush and the arms aren't attached, but this time she has a new hat!

Of course you don't sell add-ons to a broken toy? Weird that you were even selling it in their first place. I wish companies wouldnt stick so hard to release dates

FoundTheVegan,

By staying the fuck away from MMOs. 😂 🙃

100%

As a fan of the Ocreana and Majora, I was super disappointed with the same dungeon just copy pasted 4 times with basically no story or dialogue. It was a fine enough open world game I guess, but it wasn't a Zelda game.

FoundTheVegan,
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

True, but will also prevent you from getting any other updates or bug fixes. This is such a scummy action for Ubi to do, I wouldn't it put it past em to pair this with some sort of game bricking.... "glitch" that needs a patch.

FoundTheVegan,
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

True! And here is hoping the list should gets bigger.

$70 Mortal Kombat 1 Switch version called "robbery" as graphical comparisons flood the internet (www.eurogamer.net) angielski

Fans have taken to the likes of X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok to question NetherRealm's decision to market Mortal Kombat 1 as a $70 Switch release. It has been called "robbery" and "disrespectful" to users.

FoundTheVegan,
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

Well that makes sense. The switch is a less powerful platform, an intentional trade off for the mobility. And at this point, it's on the older side. Either accept the trade off so you can play on an airplane or buy a more powerful modern device like a steam deck.

Oh yikes. I mean I agree that the first panel is solid but the other two reminded me why I stopped reading PA. So often the "punch line" is just edgelord violence or insults.

Reminds me of the Hbomberguy video that really dissects "gamer comics".

FoundTheVegan, (edited )
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

Well that one made me snicker lol. Maybe I am being too harsh. Idk, I used to read PA daily when I was in high school but at this point a few decades later, it's just something that I've grown out of so it seems pretty juvenile in retrospect.

This might be more of a "me" thing instead of "penny arcade" thing. 🤷

This is definitely a first for any marketing team

"More traffic!"

😂

FoundTheVegan,
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

I would too, but I get the feeling WotC might not allow that. They are hard core pushing their digital tabletop replacement with D&D beyond. A custom baulders for a flat fee would seriously eat in to their subscription model profits.

Which I'm all for! I'd definitely play custom BG campgains but I have no interest in paying $10 bucks a month for a Skype game or whatever.

FoundTheVegan,
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

Those free versions only exist because of the OGL, which WotC wanted to rein in. In part because of their own VTT being in development. This was also before WotC changed how they sold their books, now they are slanted to being part of a Beyond membership. While 3rd party seller still have a supply of books, the WotC main website is now only selling physical books as a bundle with a digital one for an up charge. Wizards is changing and is very much transitioning to prioritize their digital goods.

I mean this isn't just a wild conspiracy theroy, Wizards themselves said as much during an investor meeting.

Not so thinly veiled take on Heart of Darkness via the games industry.

Fantasic game. Intentionally meh gameplay. One of my faves, highly recommend.

FoundTheVegan,
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

Consoles are expensive. Cutting off support to older equipment is rough. Keeping your entertainment "current" is a big ask for a lot of people who are already struggling. As long as people are using the old stuff, devs should do what they can inside the technical limits to extend their lifespan.

Not counting games that were unfun because of bugs, what’s the most unfun video game that you’ve played and what made it unfun? (kbin.cafe) angielski

Most of the video games I’ve played were pretty good. The only one I can think of that I didn’t like was MySims Kingdom for the Nintendo DS. Dropped that pretty quickly. It was a long while ago, but I’ll guess it was because there were too many fetch quests and annoying controls.

FoundTheVegan,
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

The game is more of a short story. Which means the gameplay is intentionally grinding because the job is grinding. Which honestly IS bad gameplay, but delivers the message it's going for. If reading depressing alt history dystopia is not how you want to spend your time, then I don't blame you one little inch. ♥

Larian Studios: [Baldur's Gate 3] patch 2 is right around the corner, features major performance improvements. (twitter.com) angielski

Patch 2 is around the corner. It features major performance improvements, many new tweaks & changes, and begins our journey incorporating feedback into Origin Character epilogues, among other major things. Details coming soon.

Yayay! The game has run smoothly, mostly. But every few hours my GF and I restart our LAN to fix some stuttering. Also had some FPS issues with super large battles, but the game is SO DANG GUD that we don't even consider those speedbumps. Easily the best triple A in a long while.

FoundTheVegan,

For The King is a total steal for 5 bucks. Not a ton of repeatability but I lost about 4 weekends beating it. Great game, mixes a lot of genres and it totally work. Worth a look, especially at that price.

My ADHD prevents me from focusing on just one thing. Does anyone have a good game to play in tandem of watching a movie or show? Ideally something turn based or strategic, but not something complicated enough to require undivided attention.

Slay the spire and crafting in MMOs has been my go to lately, but I'd love something tower defensey.

FoundTheVegan,
@FoundTheVegan@kbin.social avatar

Oooh, that looks interesting as heck! Really good suggestion. Thanks! ♥ 💕

FoundTheVegan,

Yesssss! You are very much in my wavelength, I have played a ton of kingdoms! Super clever game, I never thought side scrolling city builder would be a thing.... But there it is! Great background game, another good suggestion.

We as a community should hold ourselves to a higher spoiler standard than the marketing teams.

While I know that sounds like a reach at first, consider other media. Movie trailers tend to give a lot away, but that isn't within the control of the directors. It's done by the studios who are trying to generate as many eyeballs and clicks. Not deliver a complete narrative experince.

I have had the bear bit spoiled for me as well, would have rather seen it blind in game. But oh well, however I don't think that should preclude folk from discussing reviews, mocap and how unusual of a production cycle this game has had. Discussing the game itself doesn't require specfic story points. Much like discussing the Barbie movie set production require details on plot.

In its first week, Immortals of Aveum had a peak count of just 751 players on Steam. (steamdb.info) angielski

After 5 years in development and heavily pushing Unreal Engine 5 technologies, Immortals of Aveum was met with a whopping 751 player peak. For reference, Forspoken was considered a flop but still had over 12,000 players peak total. This may be the biggest flop of the year.

And some of still haven't come up for air from baulders gate.

Seems like a standard marketing move to get ahead of the meme. We'll see how this article ages by next week, but I pretty sus. 😂

It's sad how split screen is being treated. Which, I understand the technical limitations, rendering the same things twice at the same time IS a bigger and bigger ask as graphics improve. And even though I myself am playing through the game co-op with my GF LAN, not using split screen, it's slow death is still a bummer.

But maaaaaaybe that is just me being old and nostalgic lol
