I gave it a run on the ROG ally yesterday. The right trigger is your main button to chop, combat, etc. The only way it worked was to spam the button which was not great. I did some research and seems that with some settings this can be fixed. None the less the game does look cool. Indies are where it’s at!
Thanks to modern video games being barely functional slop most of the time, I got into emulation. All these games work beautifully and I have a massive catalogue of high quality games, with creative contents that would not get made anymore today.
Super super cool. I don’t have a need for this since I have a nice modded 3ds lite, but the youtube on one screen and gaming on the other is absolutely sick. The screen size and color depth looks great too.
Does it have an SD card slot? I didn’t see it on their site but I assume so.
Consensus seems weak environmental design, mediocre graphics, and awesome combat—more Platinum than TN, which fans more or less predicted from the pre-release footage. As a Platinum fan myself, I don’t mind that, but I see why this can annoy the Itagaki faithful.
I’ve seen Steam reviews bring up some performance issues most critic reviews didn’t, but apart from that, I’m satisfied with the reception enough to add it to my wishlist. It’s such a nice feeling knowing there’s a new action game waiting to be bought and played. We don’t get to experience this feeling nearly enough.
Hopefully, Onimusha and Okami 2 will follow suit and we’ll get a DMC6 announcement soon.
Looks really nice! Thought it was a terraria clone at first, will check out the reviews
Edit: bought it since it's 75% off, played around 2 hours, it's pretty entertaining, I'm not a super fan of this kind of turn based combat in general, but we'll see
I’m loving the current unstable beta version. The basements are dope as shit. Especially if you have mods that add random events like air strikes and nukes, making the basements even more useful.
I felt that way about 40/41 or whatever it was on when I first found out about the game. The most fun stuff was in the MP disabled version and I had gotten the game for myself, my sister and my oldest friend… We still haven’t played together yet 😮💨
Was watching a YouTuber play Week One, and he was two floors down in a basement. A plane crashed into the building and all his stuff burned anyway. Then the nukes dropped. Total madness.
Yeah, I don’t know what happened to him (AmbiguousAmphibian? That’s how I heard about the mod lol) but I haven’t had fire spread down to mine. Worst that happened was I got the plane crash event, waited a day for shit to settle down, go up outside and then just immediately died to absolutely nothing. 😬
I’ve been debating whether to play the beta. I played it on launch but also I play with friends a lot, so it’s some back and forth for me. The basements were super fun though. I always ended up turning them into an underground base since there’s no windows.
Honestly my greatest fear for the game is that it’s just bland. I can live with a flawed game (the original VTMB certainly could be called a flawed game itself after all.), but I think blandness would be the real killer for me.
Gaming journalism has really lost all credibility. A fucking 10/10 from TheSixthAxis. For this pile of shit. Even if you’re a hardcore pokemon fan, as a journalist you can’t just ignore the issues. No wonder GameFreak feels no need to do better when they all lap it up like honey, no matter what they release
beautifully shows what city life is like in the Pokémon universe
With flat ugly buildings? With textures that literally cut windows in half when they meet a corner? With people/pokemon popping up 10m in front of you?
