2000s were the peak crossroads of old and modern life and its fun to look back
FYI in ten years kids will be saying the exact same thing about the 2010’s, just like they did 10 years ago with the 90’s and for my gen it was the 80’s-70’s.
I’ll never get past the Dangerous Hunts games since some management somewhere at Cabela’s had to approve a hunting game with deep lore about a literal shapeshifting demon and chimpanzee supersoldiers.
Mildly disappointed that they are releasing episodically.
Also disappointed that they isn’t a rewind feature in case you miss dialog lines. Felt like a pretty big exclusion when I played the demo.
Still bought it and plan to play it since I love this alt superhero meta that is going on what with the boys (though the last seasons sucked), and with Invincible (which is also starting to head down the drain).
I just love the lack of hollywood morality where the good guy doesnt kill, and the superheros don’t really have meaningful personal difficulties or problems.

at least theyre releasing it every week as opposed to Telltale’s old games where we had to wait months for the game to finish. I don’t mind it too much
I eventually plan to watch it, but I usually try to avoid watching things until they are finished to know if they just rapidly gave the thing a bad end or if it has a satisfying conclusion.
Also because if there is a long time between seasons, Ill forget the story line.
Man… this looks rough. I’m not sure what to even think. I really want to be excited for Prime 4 but none of the trailers have done it for me. Now we have this weird bike that looks awful.
I’m happy to be wrong and will wait and see how things turn out but the faith is being tested.
But yeah. Hades 1 might actually be the best “full package” roguelite I have ever played. VERY solid gameplay and an unlock system that gets you your full arsenal within the first two hours but then encourages you to learn every single aspect of that as more and more options open up. And it is Supergiant so the story ranges from laughing at the horny to leaving you misty eyed to having a full blown weep-fest during credits as you try to comprehend what you just saw while immediately contextualizing it with your own Life. All done in a way that actually takes advantage of the game mechanics which is what makes Supergiant (and Greg Kasavin) so special.
I TECHNICALLY still have the final final ending to do with Hades 1. Should… probably do that some time. But what little I played of 2 so far is already so fricking good.
