Never played the first one, but I was all about Tribes 2 when it came out.

Ascend was pretty good too, but mostly just the skiing mechanic wasn’t sloppy because it was built in and not relying on a bug.

One of the best games ever made. None of the others in the series really had the same fun factor. The mods were amazing. There was a total conversion called TribesRPG and there’s still a server up for it. Last time I went in a couple years ago there were only two players just idling.

It looks so fresh and cool. It feels like a throwback to old, fun, dumb videogames of the past. Like this could totally be a Dreamcast 5 launch title.

I’m thinking the online component isn’t going to going to be full-blown MMO, would be ambitious for this developer.

I like the concepts here, but it always comes down to execution and scope for space-based games.

Last I heard about this game was at the Game Awards a few years back. Nice to see the game development chugging along.

The gameplay in the boss fight video looks too cluttered, IMO. But there is enough time for the devs to tweak it or add options to reduce some of the on-screen elements.

hell yeah, MVG is the MVP of the retro game scene on YT. Glad to see him here, and glad to see him shouting out ShadPS4, which y’all know i am excited about. Mostly because i want to play bloodborne enhanced on PC, but preservation of other games like Last Guardian is also so important.
