EDIT: This has been hotfixed in v3.2.1, along with a new tweak for the Halloween modes!
Turns out the lighting was a bit dark for some people, and since during October the cosmetics affect the regular randomizer modes too, we will be releasing a hotfix soon. For now remember that you can use the flashlight without any energy cost, and you can also increase the Brightness Boost settings in the Rando->Visuals menu. You can also disable the memes setting entirely in Rando->Gameplay.
TBH, I really wish he would’ve just shut up and let the gameplay breathe for a while. They started the showcase explaining how this game isn’t going to hold your hand, but then spent the next fifteen minutes over-explaining every little detail, lol
Note here how little handholding there is. This is a great puzzle because there is no handholding. Note in this scene specifically that we are not handholding. Now let’s go ahead and describe handholding…
Starfield has fundamental issues that no amount of modding or DLC is going to repair. I don’t think I’ve ever been less excited for a content update for a game I own.
Nope, they recommend being level 35 at least but I'm not sure if it's a requirement. While jumping from planet to planet you might encounter the Oracle, which is where the DLC starts.
They really leaned into the Chrono Trigger vibe with this one.
I like their marketing approach here by making a big splash at TGS. Sea of Stars also had a broader marketing approach. I’m not entirely sure how possible grassroots marketing is with this kind of thing anymore, at least in English-speaking communities. Chrono Trigger is a sacred cow in the JRPG community, and Sea of Stars got a surprising amount of backlash for not living up to those lofty expectations (yes, ridiculous ones considering CT was lightning in a bottle even among a dream team of developers and producers).
