So he worked on 1.4 and 1.5 with ConcernedApe. Technically a former Stardew Valley developer, but title is just click bait to get attention. Up to 1.3 was a one man show, and by that point, who could blame ConcernedApe for hiring some help; the game was successful, and had the funds to do it, and help with his vision (possibly with things outside his expertise).
Still super in progress and a genuine pain to set up last I checked, but grasscutter (name iirc) for genshin impact. I was hosting a server my friends and I played on and we just played in a gtfo gacha configuration. It’s one of the few I know of being reversed while the game is still live on official.
I know it’s technically not a mod but most older versions of RuneScape can be played “offline” by creating a personal private server. Everything from RSC to HDScape can have private servers but I don’t think I’ve seen private servers for RS3.
I tried SPT a few months ago (with additional mods) and it was enjoyable especially if you like tarkov. There’s a mod which makes the maps connected, where different extractions lead to other maps. There’s lots of things you can do to make the singleplayer experience better.
Although I’ve ended up playing the GAMMA modpack for STALKER Anomaly instead. It has what I look for in tarkov, and then some.

Yes, this was a founder complaining that they didn’t get paid or whatever their complaints were. The company was bought and owned so they can do whatever.

Shame. I remembered the name from Banner Saga, but I was surprised to find out that they also published Pillars of Eternity 2. They had an interesting catalog of games. Still, telling everyone they're being let go right before they leave for Christmas is just twisting the knife isn't it? Then again I guess there isn't really a good time to tell someone they're fired.
Idk…telling lies to potential customers that you know to be bullshit to get money from them based on promises you know you’ll never deliver sure sounds like a scam artist to me:

If your game has been in Alpha since 2015. And there are basically no updates since that time, then yeah you’re a scam artist. He knew what he was doing was wrong and he kept doing it for nearly a decade, there’s no defense for that.
Also plenty of other software developers manage not to do what he does so it’s obviously not actually that hard
Yeah at least going by what’s reported in this article, Peter seems pretty neck deep in the scamming. If it’s not intentional the most charitable interpretation i can think of is he’s gone senile and someone else is using his name to run the scams:

I remember reading those Dev journals too, but I feel like they helped me to get more out of B&W than most other people.
Yes, it was all about building hype, but it meant that I played more in a “find-your-own-fun-and-set-your-own-goals” way, which I think was what the original intent was.
Everyone’s biggest complaint was that the missions were half-baked and felt like they were thrown in right at the end. And they were right.
I remember all the marketing and promises for Black and White 2 that were never realised. It doesn’t feel like they really managed the first sequel, let alone another one.
I’ve been trying out The Universim recently. It has a lot of the same ideas, but gets rid of many which I felt didn’t work. Most notably, there is no creature bound to your will. I think the game is better for the omission. Version 1.0 is slated for January, and is supposed to include interplanetary colonization.
