This is what I did, although I went a step further than emulating. I’d always been planning on hacking my Switch once the next one came out, but when Nintendo went after Yuzu, I said fuck 'em and hacked it then and there. They won’t be getting any more sales from me this gen.
I fell in love with emulating last summer. My one complaint is that multi disc ps1 games ask for disc 2, and no matter how many tutorials i watch on YouTube, i just can’t get it to work…
I mostly use handheld emulators, so not sure about one’s experience on the computer. In my experience, RetroArch makes it easy enough to swap discs. It’s not obvious how without instructions, but once you find those online it’s not hard to do. Try RetroArch if you have not yet done so.
I am on retroarch. Did all the steps to put the discs into a single folder. And reading your comment has made me realize i forgot to eject, and load. I’m a major dumb…
I’m most excited for Avowed, but it could end up being a stinker (unless the delay actually helps the game). The Fable trailer didn’t do enough to get me particularly interested in it.
I played The Outer Worlds; it was great story wise. I’m merely worried as delays have often been a sign that a game is flawed and needs a lot of work that will happen after launch.
gods. you said “mages guild” and I was reminded how much I miss the actual mages guild.
but i do like the college. and modded skyrim can be nice and peaceful when you don’t know what to play. i just took a break from another action heavy game and went to modded skyrim as well.
I’m like 2 magika points short of Summon Flame Atronach which is the spell i needed to entry. I’m playing on Survival mode so what i’m hoping to do is level up on the way there. Something about that walk especially is just so relaxing (even when you’re getting jumped by bandits and wolves every 10 feet)
When I used to play with back stabbing bitches friends back in the day, we’d almost exclusively use our usernames over voice even though we knew each other irl.
That thing the Dragon Priestess gives you to fight Bayle. Supposed to “greatly” increase your damage negation. It adds a flat 15 to it. Which is nothing lol
I think part of it is I like to keep “journals” for my characters in lore for some games. So my Skyrim character has one, and so does my Fallout New Vegas, etc. and then another aspect is free time
More power to you, I just can’t relate. I can see going between one narrative game and a couple of non-narrative games. Sometimes you just feel like a game of Civ for example or whatnot in-between sessions of say Cyberpunk. But if I’m into one narrative I usually don’t feel like switching, and if I find something else I get sucked into I lose track of the previous one and don’t feel like going back. Juggling this many story games at once is crazy to me. It’s like carrying on 12 different conversations simultaneously. I know people exist that can do it, I just don’t understand how.
