I should play BG3 and get out of Act1. Buuut it’s starting to be so long since I last played it that I am lost in where I was and were doing. And I honestly don’t like the zone designs with all their open emptyness while at the same time being soooo cramped. What does it take to walk from the druid’s encampment to the goblin temple? Two minutes? Three? Cooooome on. Would have preferred the druid’s having one map, then world map travel to goblin’s and then zoom in on their lair. Condense the adventure while keeping distances plausible. So I’ll keep on looking at my small settlers as I keep building their settlement in Farthest Frontier.

caseofthematts,

I’m not sure if it helps you at all, but there some waypoints you can jump to. In fact, there are waypoints both right near the druids grove and one in the goblin encampment.

In regards to what you’re doing, there are journal entries that keep track of quests step by step so you can see what you’ve learned in each as you’ve progressed.

Final Fantasy 7 OG with HD textures and Echo-S mod (full voice acting).

It is a much better game than the so-called remake.

Severed_Fate,

Why do you feel the remake is bad

cloudless,
@cloudless@feddit.uk avatar

I don’t think the remake is a bad game, but I enjoy the original better because:

  • I prefer the original ATB combat better than the remake’s action hybrid
  • The original has much better pacing, the remake has a lot of padding
  • The original feels more open for exploration, while the remake feels very linear
  • The remake added some nonsensical story
caseofthematts,

I feel like what they did to FF7 is what they’d do if they ever remade Chrono Trigger, and that’s why I’m pretty against a remake of that one.

I am hoping that the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D remake will sell well, so Square-Enix will remake Chrono Trigger in the same style.

caseofthematts,

That’s one of the few HD2D that looks good to me. In my opinion, Octopath is way too dark, sepia toned, and saturated. It’s not a very pretty game in my eyes. In Star Ocean and Live A Live, the characters don’t look like they fit in the world; the difference between the 3D environments and the pixel characters is too stark. But I’m quite interested in DQ3.

I’m still playing Project Zomboid at the moment, it’s very intriguing when you make the zombie slower and more fragile, but double their population. 1v10 is doable this way, but a missed swing still mean death lol.

Chee_Koala,

I did 2 survival runs in the last year, both near Rosewood, I had never been and it was nice to have a change of scenery. Can’t wait for the next big update, I’ll be back for another run for sure! We used these settings on our dedicated server:

  • 1200% reading speed
  • 250% XP
  • Higher Weapon spawn
  • Lower Generator fuel consumption
  • Cars have a higher change to have a little gas in them
  • There is less food loot to balance the above out
Annoyed_Crabby,

Rosewood is nice, there’s a very easily defensible place i can hole up, a bit out of the town center so it doesn’t have high concentration of zombies, and near a police and fire station so weapon(fire axe, gun) is easy to come by.

Though the helicopter event will make you get trapped inside a place you can’t escape lol.

Big Ambitions dropped EA 0.3 last week. So I am retro fitting all my retail outlets with security while setting up the new stores and HQ employees.

I’ve been giving Blood a go, I missed out on a lot of shooters back in the day so when I play them now you can see how many modern games were inspiresd by these old giants, it’s also really obvious why people love this game and have used it for inspiration

Chee_Koala,

Very cool! Check out F.E.A.R.! Cool level design, story, pretty decent AI. Old but gold. Also scary ;-)

NickNak,

I have played Fear! I think I’ve played both 1 and 2, they were great run and gun games

Back to Crusader Kings 3, finally going to get me that Dynasty of Many Crowns :p

It‘s insane how hours on end just disappear when playing that game

Salt 2 is a pretty good indie pirate game. You sail around a procedurally generated archipelago doing quests for various factions while building up your ship, and it’s pretty relaxing. It’s still in development so it’s missing features like ship to ship combat, but it’s the closest thing to a single player sea of thieves

coffee,

Used to play Duke Nukem 3D there, and I think one of the Quake games. Later games all came with bundled Gamespy and forced the installation on me, hated it so much I gave up playing online back then, and still never got back into it.

God that brings back memories. I mainly used it for Halo CE back on Windows XP still in like 09-10. Joined a clan through Xfire that I played with a bunch. Used it a little for Minecraft too! Those days on CE were the best.

SwedishFool, do games w Anyone remember Xfire?

This brought back memories I didn’t know I had. Gosh I miss those days, I wish I had downloaded all the clips I recorded before it died. I’m sad now.

There are some archives of the service here -

wiki.archiveteam.org/index.php/Xfire

Supposedly most of the videos, and 20% of the screenshots? I’m not sure if there’s a way to easily search the archive contents, rather than download.

There’s quite a few profiles on Web Archive too -

web.archive.org/web/*/http://…/profile/*

Holy shit. Just found my profile that had stuff there like bio, pc specs and games/hours from when I was 14… I’m nearly 32 now. Wild …
