UprisingVoltage,

Space marine 2 could actually do the trick.

UprisingVoltage,

Congrats on your retirement and happy gaming!

UprisingVoltage,

The mario movie was also good in my opinion. I enjoyed it and it did not feel like a cringefest at all (which I wish I could say about Minecraft’s trailer)

UprisingVoltage,

It’s a good action with some souls mechanics (not a soulslike though), crazy good graphics, bosses and enemy variety. Should also be decently optimized for pc

Plot wise is basically a fan sequel of Journey to the west. If you aren’t familiar with that don’t expect to understand shit about what’s going on.

The only real tangible issue is mediocre map design (very simplistic and linear) and (some say) some balancing issues.

In short, if you enjoy 3d actions and/or souls you’ll probably have you money’s worth.

UprisingVoltage,

Yeah. The game’s incipit is (spoilers ??? Literally the first five minutes of the game) >!Wukong just wants to chill on his mountains, but the other gods fear him and kick his ass. Decades, centuries or maybe millennia has passed, and now you, a monke from his village (arguably his reincarnation), are tasked with finding a way to reawaken him!<

UprisingVoltage,

Seems like rocksteady is not involved in this one. For better or worse

UprisingVoltage,

Why not? If it’s the best game of the year in multiple categories why deny its merits and penalize it for it?

UprisingVoltage,

Last but not least, yes, we are in development on the next chapter – The Elder Scrolls VI. Even now, returning to Tamriel and playing early builds has us filled with the same joy, excitement, and promises of adventure.

So still no updates on TES6 then. Saved you a click I guess

UprisingVoltage,

Very fun game, I’ve been into it for a while and really enjoyed watching gameplay. Unfortunately i grew tired of it before the sales, and I ended up not buying it

UprisingVoltage,

The fact it exists is shitty, but in their defense travel seems acty fun.

Also you have “fast travel” by the means of carts, which can be attacked during the journey.

UprisingVoltage,

I thought about it and yeah, I agree. Just make it a limited item in game (or unlimited but expensive af), microtransactions suck

UprisingVoltage,

Is it just me or very few games support FSR3? Which is a shame, it looks amazing on paper

UprisingVoltage,

What’s the mod?

UprisingVoltage,

The first fantasy life is super cozy. Very excited for the sequel

UprisingVoltage,

Wow, this looks amazing! Also top tier steam deck game

UprisingVoltage,

This guy is a wizard. Actual black magic

UprisingVoltage,

I finally bought horizon zero dawn! I just hope to have some time to play it…

UprisingVoltage,

I don’t know if that makes sense, but to me it depends on how “canon” they look.

Usually the games that give you the m/f character choice will put more effort in one version of the character over the other, with the “non canon” one looking like they were forced to put them in there.

“Canon” version are also often featured in official arts and commercials.

Examples of who I picked in games following this line of reasoning:

Male Robin - FE Awakening, Female Corrin - FE Fates, Male Byleth - FE 3 houses, Female Shez - FE 3 hopes, Aether - Genshin, Stelle - Honkai star rail, Kassandra - AC Odissey

But again, this is very much a “how I feel on the spot” thing, no hard preferences in general.

UprisingVoltage, (edited )

Epic cons:

  • Filled to the brim with DRM, at the point where you can’t even launch many singleplayer games offline
  • Actively against linux, for some fucking reason
  • Bad launcher (but this one is no biggie, you can and should use Heroic launcher instead of the official one)
  • Bad store in general compared to steam
  • Ties with Tencent (super anti-consumer chinese state-owned megacorp)

Epic pros:

  • Free games
  • With coupons prices can get VERY low
  • When it opened I heard the percent they take from game devs was lower than the other stores (not sure if it’s still the case and tbh if it ever was)

Steam pros:

  • Pushing linux gaming like their life depends on it
  • Generally correct towards the consumer
  • Huge store and many information, from the game store pages to the workshop
  • During sales prices are good

Steam cons:

  • Drm
  • Bad official app Ux and messy ui

Gog

I don’t know anything besides the fact that it has drm-free games and that it’s owned by CDPR (the guys who developed the witcher series and cyberpunk)

I personally purchase my games on steam, since I think their contribution to linux gaming is crucial for linux to go mainstream

Choose what you will knowing this. If someone else wants to add something to this list you’re welcome to do so.

UprisingVoltage,

Surely a good exercise for the person who does it and a good way for those who work(or want to work) in the field to see how other designers tackle these kind of projects, even if for fun.

Wouldn’t really call it meaningless

UprisingVoltage,

I see your point now and yeah, you’re definitely correct here.

Would’ve fit better in a web/UI/UX design themed community.

But tbh I enjoyed the video so I really don’t mind

UprisingVoltage,

Not a “traditional” AC but extremely fun to play imo, recommended

UprisingVoltage,

I mean, it started implementing the RPG mechanics they used in origins and featured a hookshot, which was crazy fun imo but killed every incentive to do parkour and to escape guards. I personally consider unity the last traditional AC (haven’t played, seen nor heard anything on mirage yet)

UprisingVoltage,

What is portable content?

UprisingVoltage,

That’s a very weird choice indeed, remasters usually include extra content

UprisingVoltage,

Wasn’t it supposed to be available for every directx game?

UprisingVoltage,

Bit of a bummer but still great tbh, let’s hope it becomes some sort of industry standard. Not hoping too hard tho, lately the games released are not even finished, I doubt they’ll find the time to implement FSR on top of that

UprisingVoltage,

Commom steam deck W

What are some RPGs for someone who doesnt like most RPGs angielski

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into RPGs lately and wanted to share my thoughts and seek recommendations from fellow gamers. I’ve found myself resonating with Scott the Woz’s viewpoint on random encounters and grinding, but I do make an exception when the combat system is truly exceptional, like in the case of...

UprisingVoltage,

Fear & hunger will surprise you. It looks like an RPG and it seemingly plays like one, but it’s actually an entire different beast. Lots to understand and to uncover, both gameplay-wise and lore-wise. If you decide to give it a shot, be sure that the game it’s not unbalanced, it just need to be understood.

If you want something less dark and hard, the Mario & Luigi series for GBA/NDS/3DS is crazy fun. The same applies for the Paper mario series, very original and super fun RPGs that don’t really play by the rules

UprisingVoltage,

Thank you for clarifying

UprisingVoltage,

I think you can only crosspost from the web app as of now

UprisingVoltage,

Brb, gonna play hades and then watch them all in order to understand everything that’s going on

UprisingVoltage,

Definitely play them in order of release. They’re all very different games but an amazing series overall and definitely worth playing

UprisingVoltage,

Yeah, me too. It’s so much better with js off

UprisingVoltage,

I’m currently 100%ing AC Revelations on the switch. It’ll take a while, possibly more than the first two combined
