Because its fun even if the input method isnt perfect. Specially so for casual gamers. Both ports for age of empires play really well on console and I suppose age of mythology will be just as great.
I hear good things about what they did for AoE2 on controller, and the genre was long overdue for someone to solve that problem. I’ve got some hand and wrist issues these days after working at a computer for so many years, and I’ll always prefer a controller when possible.
MMOs surprisingly have a strong controller play base mainly thanks to FFXIV. Considering it’s WoW’s strongest competitor, a controller layout is a solid idea
I mean, besides FFXIV’s famous layout, I think it’s not so unreasonable to attach a keyboard to a console for things like chat or the game interface. A few Xbox games even do just that.
Of course, no game can require a keyboard plugged in to play. But given the age of Guitar Hero attachments, a few extras make sense.
Well 4 new IP’s. That’s something at least. And indiana jones kinda. Am looking forward to that seeing as the last 2 movies sucked balls… Maybe it’s better than them?
I’m most excited for Avowed, but it could end up being a stinker (unless the delay actually helps the game). The Fable trailer didn’t do enough to get me particularly interested in it.
I played The Outer Worlds; it was great story wise. I’m merely worried as delays have often been a sign that a game is flawed and needs a lot of work that will happen after launch.
Basically I’m mildly interested in the back end of 25 and that’s about it. Although I’ve never been a diablo player so perhaps I’m not the best person to ask.
Even if I was interested in playing call of duty which I’m not I can get that on PC. In fact it would be a better experience on PC the console version is always frame rate limited.
Like the only one I want to play is doom but I’m going to wait for that to go on sale just like the others. And idk if it’s exclusive but that just means I’m either playing it on my steam deck or ps5
They really snuck in the starfield DLC in there huh.
Microsoft’s first party lineup has been a joke this generation but it seems all their acquisitions are finally paying off, there’s a lot of good stuff there that I’m interested in - Avowed and Fable especially. Ara also looks good since Civ 7 is still far away.
So is your car the only car in the universe? As far as I recall the only form of local transportation has been that miniature train system on New Atlantis. If your own transport ships need to travel to an outpost 200 meters away, they go to space and back to get there.
You know I’m kind of amazed that Starfield has a 10k (24hr peak) playerbase according to SteamDB. Comparatively speaking, it’s doing better than other dumpster fires like halo infinite
I did not care for Starfield, but I would argue that it is not actually a “dumpster fire”, just kind of a mid game. Maybe even slightly better than mid.
I’m inclined to disagree but perhaps I’m just jaded by prior entries built against that engine. With that said, it’s pretty unique to starfield that curiosity is never rewarded in this supposedly vast universe.
I found some of the side stories to be a bit more compelling than the main one. the movement and action felt a little bit better than fo4.
The settlements thing is wild. How could they have you sink any time into that when the game pushes you repeatedly towards NG+?!
And I love how the highest difficulty just makes everything into a bullet sponge. Nothing besides that feels more difficult; enemies aren’t more cunning, aggressive or accurate. Stealth and speech checks felt pretty much unchanged.
I think the ship combat and boarding could be spun off into a standalone mini-game. NMS is a clunky, goofy time but it’s funny how it managed to get interplanetary travel down on day one.
Agreed. It’s just very mediocre. Luma HDR mod is absolutely beautiful though, and I recommend it for anyone with a HDR monitor. It makes the game look absolutely stunning. It’s basically the only reason I played it lol.
