CitizenCON this year in a few weeks is going to be very, very interesting. It may go down like DashCon and have a “free 30 minutes in the ball pit” level of downfall.
Or the aging gamedads that sunk so much into the grift already will keep it afloat a little longer. We’ll see.
There was an exclusive big-spenders-only fancy le steak meme dinner that the grifting corporation put on (as a means to offer then another exclusive internet spaceship sale for another internet spaceship that is still not playable now) and I was hard pressed to see anyone there that wasn’t at least in their 40s, it was white as mayonnaise, entirely male unless I lost someone in the mayo, and there was even a cringelord wearing a top hat and monocle prop to match the cringe prop in the game that is given to big spenders.
I bring it up because the game dads in the ball pit will have to contend with that sad image to stand out.
You beat me to it; there were other pictures from different angles, including selfies from the gamedads, but I’m having a hard time finding them now; the bookmark is now a dead link. sadness
There were similar rumours about the Switch back when it was just NX. It was going to be above the Xbox One and below PS4 in terms of power. Maybe I'll have to eat my words without even peeling them, but this hasn't been Nintendo's strategy since the Gamecube and I doubt it's going to change now, especially after how well the Switch has sold and is still selling.
I wish developers took genre as gameplay elements and not entirely mimicing settings and tone and themes along with the gameplay. Lots of people were hoping AC6 could be a soulslike in a different setting, because no ones doing it.
Yea, my cities' bottleneck was always getting the traffic to be able to have the hearses do their job. Somehow that's what causes a city to stop growing, compared to other factors like the economy.
It's the second article from this site I've seen today - both posted by the same account - and they've both been horrific. The Cities: Skylines 2 one had some awful title gore, too.
Part of me wants to just block OP so I don't ever see this website again. But part of me doesn't want to because I want the news still, and I think there can be valuable discussion in the comment sections even if the article itself is awful.
Wouldn’t it have been a surprise if it didn’t have them? The way AC was monetized in the past I’d be shocked if they switched back from that without a huge backlash
I started playing Quake 1 for the first time a few weeks ago, and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to this remaster so I can give the second one a try
