The developers of the game had zero input on this. They’re developers; this is a contract which would be written by lawyers, directed by management. The same management who force crunch on the devs you want to blame. Learn to recognise the enemy, please and thanks.
It’s one of the reasons that nobody says anything bad about the product that their sponsor provided to them. Either that or people don’t want to ruin their relationship with their sponsors so they will talk highly of a product even if it isn’t good.
Anyone releasing a roguelite last week or even this week is fucking braindead. I don’t care how good your game is: Hades is the undisputed GOAT of the genre, competing with its sequels release could literally only have negative results compared to delaying.
I guess I really wasn’t into the game as I wasn’t emotionally involved at all. Not like in Last of Us 2 when Abby and Ellie are fighting. I was feeling their pain and anger and was really destabilized as if two of my close friends were fighting.
Now if only FATLUS port other mainline Megaten games into PC/steam at reasonable price. Seeing Noctune on steam was like fever dream, not to mention that rumour SMTV for PC release from Geforce Now leak ;_;
Yes. You can emulate almost every mainline Megaten games. However, native pc port lets user to have accessibility (especially for casual user) instead of going through steps setup emulator. Paired that with reasonable regional price (except I doubt in the case of ATLUS/SEGA), they can have free money printer while at the same time adds more availability to how you play them.
Gotta love when people start making shit up in order to do a ‘gotcha’. Especially when they usually don’t read any additional materials to back up their incompetent viewpoints.
I am personally against subscription models and prefer to pay for a product but I’m not going to just ignore the benefit that sub models have provided to the industry.
Do micro transactions or even battle pass type things count as subscriptions in the data he’s referring to? Or buying subscriptions/passes with in game currency that was purchased with real money?
I think it’d be more appropriate to compare the upfront cost of a game (and the revenue from it) vs additional revenue generated by people who already paid that upfront cost.
Yeah that would be great. A single tweet can sound well-informed but I don’t know if this guy is an expert with a pile of data or just a person capable of chatting shit!
