Thank you so much to everyone who commented with suggestions! Some really surprising ones in there too that I'm very much looking forwards to playing soon. So far thanks to this post I've grabbed Heat Signature as well as Shady Part of Me and I'm replaying Dysmantle. I've also wishlisted Creeper World 3: Arc Eternal and will nab that the minute it goes on sale.
Edit: Ooh and I'm also looking forward to the release of Outworld Station on Tuesday. That looks like a really interesting top down, space station factory automation game :)
They’re semi-catlike? Sadly most of their movement is limited to walking/running around and jumping up on the Player’s lap when you pet them. I’d kill for them to be able to scale buildings and walls like the player though
I like to see good animal or bird life in games, really ups the immersion for me if it’s gotta good algorithm. Do they react if you kick em? An I think ppl have enjoyed looking after animals in computer games as long as there’s been computer games. I remember these tamagotchi things in the 80s or 90s, little LCD screens with some sorta animal you had to look after by pressing a tiny button.
I’ve never really thought to kick the Animals, i will say they run away and hide if you cause too much of a fuss around them though. On the subject of Tamagotchi though i actually have one! It’s currently disassembled after an unfortunate accident with a toddler and some soda, but i’m pretty sure it still works if i put it together. For a while though i traded it for a Digimon V-Pet though
TheHunter: call of the wild is the slowest fps I’ve ever played, its luxuriously chill. Mostly walking through beautifully executed forests during different weather and times of day to spot a group of deer drinking at a lake and then tryna shoot em all before they bolt off. Then the rest of the time is chasing down the blood trail to confirm the kill and get money to buy new weapons. Multiplayer and single player
TBH, I might struggle to actually shoot anyhing if it’s as gorgeous as the limited gameplay videos I’ve seen are depicting it. Slow paced walking simulator where you are challenged to spot wildlife, yes please.
Ive got many hours in this game. It is a very nice and easy going game for sure. There are some bugs that come up everynow and then but overall its a very pleasant game.
Since years I’m enjoying with The Dark Mod, a Thief like First Person stealth (FPS-, puzzle-, strategy-, adventure -, survival,-,horror-, RPG elements, depending on the mission) game (Windows, Linux, Mac), there isn’t a need of an fast gameplay. It’s 100% free and currently with 170 fan made missions, which you can download and add direct from the game menu.
