I’ll buy any CyberConnect2 original IPs. Fuga 3 for the Switch 2, babeyyyyyy! I see they also have a couple of other games cooking with no release date.
No links to the other games in story, other than nopon appearing and one type of unique monster. No real main character (create your own), missions and exploration over story. Very minimal story. Huge mechs, soundtrack by Hiroyuki Sawano (attack on titan) complete with rap during battles.
It’s a very frustrating game, but it is gigantic, has some awesome worlds to explore and is worth playing
I was disappointed in it at launch as it was not what I expected from Xenoblade after getting that one at launch here in the UK in 2011 - that was incredible.
Apparently the main thing that’s been holding Monolith back from remastering X has been trouble updating the engine for Switch. More powerful hardware might enable it… let’s hope.
With their dev cycle and work culture I don’t think we’re getting a launch Xenoblade though, or even anything.
Star Wars: Rebellion by a long shot. And that’s saying something considering how much I loved Jedi Academy and X-Wing vs TIE.
Having characters run missions that shaped the course of the Galaxy really helped the game write its own stories in the Star Wars universe. Things could happen like Chewie becoming force sensitive, getting trained by Luke, and then Chewie could lead a mission to blow up a Death Star!
The constant cat and mouse game between the Rebels and the Empire was exciting. The game has kind of been reimplemented in a board game by the same name by Fantasy Flight Games. The board game is good, but there’s still magic about the original that I haven’t seen replicated anywhere else.
Rebellion was one of my first strategy games and I absolutely loved following the careers of all the characters I read about in the books. It’s what built the foundation of my love for grand strategy games like Stellaris.
Black Skylands. A friend gifted me a copy on steam after he had a transaction error and got two copies. Thought it might be fun for a few hours but I’ve been obsessed.
It’s an open world exploring game where you’ve got an airship and go from island to island, and it’s a top down twin stick shooter. The mobility is really enjoyable with the grappling hook, the combat is fun with interesting weapons, tech and upgrades and you have an airship!
I presently have both uBlockorigin and Brave’s native adblockers at work, so not sure how it slipped through there. Definitely gonna look at the userscript manager though
dont do that if you are gonna play to use ublock origin stick to ublock origin as braves built in adblock can interfere with ublock origin which can make sites slower to load
General discussion of illegal activities is legal, but distributed methods/keys/software to bypass DRM is not. In addition to the poster getting in trouble, the admins of multiple instances could at minimum be forced to delete the content, and at worst get their asses kicked by Nentendo’s legal team, and be forced to reveal the identities of the user that posted it.
In my jurisdiction downloading pirated stuff is perfectly legal. It’s only illegal when you’re distributing it. And even for jurisdictions where it’s not legal even to download pirated stuff, companies don’t much care about people who download, but only those who upload and as far as I know, you can discuss pirating all you want and nothing’s illegal.
Really interesting and cool. I enjoyed my time, though it’s a short game. Game of the year… I dunno about that though lol. It wasn’t life changing or anything.
