AgentGrimstone,

Imagine souls games giving you only three lives before sending you back to the very beginning of the game.

AgentGrimstone,

I really wanted to try Forza Horizon but the closest game like it I could get my hands on was NFS Heat, which I had a lot fun playing. Riders Republic was also fun if you want a non car racing game. I guess I’m just into open world racing.

AgentGrimstone,

I really liked their covers. I subscribed just for those alone.

AgentGrimstone,

I thought crouch jumping was when you crouch first then jump so your jump is more explosive, thus gaining more height.

I’ve never played a game with the crouch jump you’re describing but that sounds awkward.

AgentGrimstone,

Like someone else mentioned above, Mario 64 is the one I had in mind. I can’t recall any others at the top of my head.

Day 10 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I’ve been playing until I forget to post Screenshots (lemmy.world) angielski

Today’s Game is Assassins Creed Black Flag. Honestly I’m kind of impressed I made it too 10 days. I totally expected myself to miss a day on my streak. Also. A few people in the past have asked about posting screenshots in the comments or stealing the idea for their own posts. Assuming the mods are chill with it I have no...

AgentGrimstone,

That’s why I take videos. I have hard drives of my very average gameplay but I still feel the satisfaction I got when I was actually playing when watching them.

AgentGrimstone,

In a way, it’s kindaworse he’s making it free. He’s not profiting from it, he’s just screwing the other guy for no reason.

AgentGrimstone,

I say just dive into the real souls games. Like everyone else, I recommend Elden Ring or DS3 (don’t worry about skipping the first 2 games, you won’t get the story anyway, most people don’t lol).

If you insist on trying something to ease you in, I actually recommend Tales of Iron. It’s a 2D game but the combat is very souls like in the sense that it’s challenging and you have to learn enemy timing and attack patterns.

AgentGrimstone,

I could have waited it out probably another 2-3 years if I wasn’t gifted one. Still have LOTS of PS4 titles I’ve been meaning to play. In fact, most of the games I play on my PS5 are PS4 games.

AgentGrimstone,

This is why I have a separate gaming only email. If all they’re asking for is an email, sure, they can have it.

AgentGrimstone,

You’re insane…for not using a spreadsheet! This thing can look so much more tidy.

AgentGrimstone,

I recommend it, this would be a great opportunity to learn. It shouldn’t be too bad, you have a pretty basic document so you won’t need to use any complicated features. I would use it just to line things up so you can scan your list easier.

AgentGrimstone,

Yeah this whole thing may seem minor to some people but that’s what companies want you to feel. They’ll slowly slip in these greedy practices until it becomes the norm. Not long ago, Yakuza made New Game+ a paid DLC. What’s next? Paid save slots? Paid difficulty settings? I wouldn’t be surpised if that’s where we end up in a few years and we start posting “Remember when [X] was a standard feature in games?” memes.

AgentGrimstone,

I usually rock the body armor + no helmet look, it’s badass, unless the helmet has stats that are too good to pass up.

AgentGrimstone,

PS5. I simply can’t go back to long loading screens.

AgentGrimstone,

Finally started Elden Ring, about 25 hours in. I’m having a blast but why oh why is every cool weapon an STR weapon. Where my DEX weapons at??? (Not really asking, just whining)

AgentGrimstone,

I’m on console so unfortunately, no mods for me. It’s fine, Oleg keeps me company.

AgentGrimstone,

I was using the Reduvia for a little while but then I found Hookclaws which are even faster so I mostly use that now.

What I really want is an Uchigatana and I know there is one because I found a merchant selling a samurai set so no way that sword doesn’t exist. It’s gonna feel like Christmas once I come across it.

AgentGrimstone,

Yeah I’m doing a complete blind run for a genuine first time playthrough. I’m even playing offline so I don’t see player messages saying where all the secrets are but thank you for at least confirming it’s in the game. I’m planning to go back and comb through the previous zones for anything I could have missed before moving onto the eastern side of the map. Hopefully I’ll run into it, if not I don’t mind going straight for it in NG+.

Elden Ring is getting a free-to-play mobile version with in-app purchases (www.rockpapershotgun.com)

Action-RPG colossus Elden Ring is reportedly getting a free-to-play mobile adaptation with in-app purchases, which takes inspiration from miHoYo’s Genshin Impact. It’s being published by Tencent, who apparently acquired the licensing rights to Elden Ring back in 2022 and put a few dozen people to work on a prototype, even as...

AgentGrimstone,

I actually just ordered a physical copy the other day, I’m finally in the mood to play it. I was surprised it was $50 but still, NO RAGRETS.

AgentGrimstone,

Yeah, I don’t mind it for Elden Ring. Souls games have their way of getting me to do back to back playthroughs, something I rarely do with most games, so I know I’m going to get my money’s worth.

AgentGrimstone,

Kingdom Hearts. I like action RPGs but KH is too weird and I don’t dig the whole Disney crossover thing at all.

AgentGrimstone,

Been working on Demon’s Souls remake. I bought the original when it first came out but never finished it. In fact, I didn’t even like it. I’ve come around to loving souls games and Bluepoint has done a FANTASTIC job with DS, it feels so good to play compared to the original which had a really floaty feel that I hate. I really hope they get to remaster Bloodborne in the future, I haven’t played that one at all.

AgentGrimstone,

Maybe I should log in too so I can get mentioned in the wiki as the last player. It will be my legacy.

AgentGrimstone,

I wish my mouse would last 11 years. The scroll wheel is vital for me and I wear them down after 2-3.

AgentGrimstone,

I love that song too. I need to remember to add that to my playlist.

AgentGrimstone,

Maybe he should take a big pay cut if he’s doing that bad a job

AgentGrimstone,

It’s hard to pick. None really stand out that much from the rest but probably Ghost of Tsushima or Chivalry II.

AgentGrimstone,

A good game can keep me up til 2am. That seems to be my limit.

AgentGrimstone,

The PS5 shortage sucked but it helped me play and finish all the PS4 games I wanted to play, except for GoT which I completed recently.

AgentGrimstone,

I’m somewhat excited for this one, curious to see what gameplay loop could hook me in. I can’t help but hope it will capture the same feeling I had when I started exploring Azeroth in WoW. I know it’s a proc gen world but maybe they figured out how to make worlds more lived in.

AgentGrimstone,

This looks right up my alley more than NMS and I enjoyed NMS very much.

AgentGrimstone,

You can do an Amazon gift card. Pretty sure they’ll find whatever platform redeem codes they need there.

GTA 6’s Publisher Says Video Games Should Theoretically Be Priced At Dollars Per Hour (www.forbes.com) angielski

While Take-Two is riding high on their announcement that a GTA 6 trailer is coming, its CEO has some…interesting ideas on how much video games could cost, part of a contingent of executives that believe games are underpriced, given their cost, length or some combination of the two.

AgentGrimstone,

Wellllll I think it should be priced by how much I enjoy it. Make a great game, get paid bookoo bucks! Make a shitty game, you get what you deserve.

AgentGrimstone,

There are holes in my comment but just trust me.

AgentGrimstone,

I only play arcade type games, the kind that you only play for 20 minutes while you’re in the waiting room at the doctor’s office.

AgentGrimstone,

I’m surprised I have avoided being invested in any of these franchises.

AgentGrimstone,

I haven’t. I did try Fallout 4 but it just wasn’t for me.

AgentGrimstone,

8 hours in, it’s pretty good. I think it’s one of those games that just came out at the right time.
