Grim Dawn is a diablo-like ARPG, kickstarted in 2012 as the debut title from Crate Entertainment, an indie studio made up of devs from Iron Lore (who made the Titan Quest games). The devs describe it thus:...
Hundreds of Bethesda video game workers, who work on titles like Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls, are going on strike across the country. Workers in Maryland and Texas are walking off the job, claiming that the company has failed to address their remote work concerns at the bargaining table, and has begun outsourcing quality...
Might I recommend Journey and Abzu? They’re both wonderful experiences with a healthy dose of zen if you decide you want to just pause and appreciate the environments.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for PS Vita. Fishing edition. Some random fishing pics I grabbed. I liked the fishing part of the game. It even slightly contributes to the story and progress if you catch them all....
This is my 5th most played game on Steam, mostly because I’ve played through the campaign solo once, then replayed it with a friend, then re-replayed with another friend. Plus, after the campaign is over, there are daily missions you can complete that change every day, so it’s not like you run out of things to do in-game....
That’s awesome! Thanks for making an MMO I personally have 500 hours in on steam. It’s actually the MMO that made me open to playing MMOs, I hated the genre before because all I knew was WoW and Korean stuff that’s all walls of bland text and dull repetitive tasks that don’t respect your time.
The stories of SWTOR and full voice acting were something else entirely. I really enjoyed it and have some very fond memories of my first time playing it as a teen years and years ago, it basically absorbed my holiday vacation that year as I found a guild, made friends, got into some RP, and really just found some cool experiences. In a market starving for anything halfway decent that’s star wars I’m glad we have it.
I actually found it pretty soon after it went free to play, I thought I’d check it out and then BAM I’ve completed all class stories, maxed levels, got into housing decoration, and even have an unhealthy number of alts I’ll definitely get around to playing through again someday.
I remember being so happy it was on steam largely for the auto updates. Seems it’s been a very healthy success since then.
The closed alpha consists of two thrilling modes - Hotzone and Team Deathmatch - across three different maps (Ozone, Zenith and Frontier) and grants players an early look at each of its three factions. There is no time or match limit during the alpha, and it is free to play....
Today’s Game is Assassins Creed Black Flag. Honestly I’m kind of impressed I made it too 10 days. I totally expected myself to miss a day on my streak. Also. A few people in the past have asked about posting screenshots in the comments or stealing the idea for their own posts. Assuming the mods are chill with it I have no...
Agreed. It might not be the best one but I have a real soft spot for revelations, old man Ezio is a very compelling character, the setting, wrapping up arc for characters. We get plenty of Egypt in games but I can recall ever getting the Ottoman Empire.
Also Unity is underrated, if it had been polished at launch I hold it would have been the best game in the original style gameplay series by far.
I appreciate the kind words, I was just joking around. I’m a happily taken man with a great girlfriend. To those considering bad choices, I promise the unknown is scary but has much greater rewards than going back to something that already failed.
Good thing about this being on Steam is they can’t delete discussions that even mention pay to win, right? (NVM they banned me from discussions for mentioning pay to win and let their shills attack me and call me mentally ill without banning any of the toxic people who actually broke the TOS)
Game has so many unique mechanics that are pay walled with absurd prices: rocket tanks, paratroopers, flamethrower tanks, extra vehicle slots so you can spam 8 vehicles in a row while free players only get one, etc…not only is the game blatantly pay to win but they also renamed the Steam release to the original name of the game so they could justify deleting and hiding all the negative reviews from their initial failed launch, fraudulent damage control anyone? Intent to deceive customers isn’t acceptable, devs please remove pay to win or face a review bombing. AGAIN!
Focus should be to fix the AI bots and progression and remove pay to win instead of just simply adding more content only the whales can enjoy or use…not to mention the silver economy is so bad the game devs are being FORCED to admit the predatory monetization/progression was so horrible they can’t even hit 1,000 players at launch. Not to mention they claimed to have tens of thousands of active players on their website but suspiciously have less than a 1,000 after a full Steam launch?
Do yourselves a favor and leave a negative review and dump on this dev team, they deserve it and it is the only way gamers can fight back against this kind of nonsense.
I understand games need to make money, but breaking a game and selling the solution isn’t an acceptable way to run a business. Would you buy a car from a dealership that breaks your car on purpose and then sells you the solution for an absurd price? Don’t support pay to win it is anti gamer and anti gaming, the industry will become miserable and milked dry if we continue to give dev teams like this a single cent.
I have a bunch of old bare hard drives with tons of content sitting on them, and I was thinking about setting up a new NAS / piracy Linux box, as a backend for Plex or similar....
Welcome to the game! I played ages ago and returned recently. Definitely enjoying myself and trying a power armor heavy gunner build.
I strongly recommend just not holding onto as much scrapped junk. Its actually pretty easy to come by a lot of scrap types when you need it. Also strength is a good stat, invest in it for carry weight increases. Power armor also increases your carry weight if you have low strength. Power cores are decently easy to come by.
At low levels you’ll be blasting through weapons pretty quickly because you’ll outlevel them and find better stuff. If you’re running low on space don’t bother hanging onto more than maybe two guns you want to use at higher levels.
What playstyle do you enjoy? I’m level 170 and only really do heavy guns and rifles. Pistols (revolvers in particular) are usually my favorite but in this game they’re suboptimal. As such I have maybe 4 or 5 weapons that are really good I hang onto.
Also what’s your platform? Maybe I can help you out a bit.
There’s no such thing as an original idea. Just look at tvtropes. The whole idea is to make a new take on a previous idea, to integrate and innovate. No idea if this will be successful in doing that, but the premise alone shouldn’t condemn it.
This free update includes native applications for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Performance mode and Quality mode settings, as well as stability improvements and fixes. Experience up to 60 FPS and increased resolutions!...
This overhaul is the beginning steps of revamping the tutorials, and, hopefully, being much more beginner focused. If you like space sims, this is one of the best times to give X4 a shot!...
Interesting stuff, I’ve been aware of the X series but never tried it as I’ve heard mixed things. If they’re trying to clean up the onboarding for new players now much be the time to give it a try assuming the price is right
I pre-ordered, but when they started doing damage control over how performance was going to be bad before the game even launched I sighed and cancelled.
80 bucks well saved. Still waiting for it to be fixed to pick it up. Do we have mods via steam workshop yet? I’m still annoyed at them pushing their launcher.
I envy you greatly right now, you’re about to embark on a beautiful journey. Xcom2 is one of my favorites, especially once mods factor in, of which there are thousands covering so many franchises and ideas you can’t possibly play them all.
I wish you nothing but an excellent time and lots of dead aliens.
Somehow the game is 100$ Canadian, I really want to play it but i’m definitely waiting a while. Gonna mention Millenia, which comes out in 9 days and is an excellent looking civilization competitor, i’m definitely looking forward to that.
Oh man these games. I started with Lego chess I think, then graduated to Lego island 2, then finally hit my stride with Lego Star wars onwards (Batman, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, LOTR, etc). I loved every minute of them. I still haven’t finished the Skywalker saga but I’ll have to get around to it sooner or later.
I also spent a good bit of time as a kid playing the games Lego kept on their website, like the bionicle flash game, Lego backlot studio (or something like that, it was 3d and you’d hunt down props for people), and whatnot.
Lots of fond memories for a kid with a rough home situation. Thanks for the walk down memory lane OP
