Conyak, w Silent Hill 2 Remake Launch May Be Just Around The Corner - Rumor

I am very excited about this. The original was the first horror game that I actually had to take breaks from because I was getting so scared. The story was pretty mind blowing.

Anyone have recommendations on which ones to get?

sugar_in_your_tea, (edited )

I don’t think I have any of them, but I’ll likely get a Zachtronics game (not sure which) and maybe Human Resource Machine. Those have been on my wishlist for a while, but I haven’t seen a lot of these so there are probably a bunch of other gems.

Opus Magnum is really great if you haven’t played it before :)

sugar_in_your_tea,

Yeah, I haven’t played any of them. I’ll give it a shot, thanks!

When’s the last time you heard the word metaverse? Love all the companies that tried to immediately follow, assuming it was going to be a thing. They’re probably on to AI now.

Both are behind Baldurs Gate if we’re making comparisons.

Keep in mind that, because the demo is a tailored experience, progress from it will not carry over to the full game once it launches on November 2.

in case anyone was interested in that info

Deconceptualist, w The Talos Principle 2 | Demo on Steam Available Now

I guess I should finally finish the first one, huh? Good game, but I guess I got bogged down 3/4 through it trying to figure out the story and some of the harder secrets. Probably should have just pushed through because I enjoyed the main puzzles way more.

PenguinTD,

Yeah, I am 3/4 through the dlc so only zone 4 and secrecy zone left. Actually the 1st zone is harder than 2/3 combined with the recorder device star puzzle. The rest I just go through pretty easily. Hopefully secret zone is harder than 1.

Having only really heard the name tossed around a couple times, I don’t know much about them but the trailer for this new one piqued my interest. Is it an action adventure game or more like a point and click style puzzle game?

drislands,

It’s a first person puzzle game. You move around the world interacting with various elements, such as laser redirection, to obtain the keys needed to progress. There’s an interesting story going on at the same time, which although I didn’t find it super compelling, it was good enough to keep my attention to the end.

BradleyUffner,

It plays kind of like Portal, if Portal didn’t have portals.

Kolanaki,
!deleted6508 avatar

That… That doesn’t make it sound fun. Portal without Portals would just be wandering around pushing boxes. lol

But Doctor Evil, such a number doesn’t even exist!

OrteilGenou, w Todd Howard says Starfield was 'made to be played for a long time,' but a month after launch I'm already drifting away

I’d love an open world game where you start as a Star Trek ship and just explore for hundreds of hours, stumbling upon adventures/civilizations taken directly from the massive repo of lore that exists from all the shows.

I feel like to do it properly would take a decade

Have you tried Bridge Commander or the not actually star trek, but still totally star trek game Artemis?

They’re basically that. Randomly generated scenarios where you, and a few friends, command a Starfleet vessel to solve dilemmas or just exist in the world. The fun is mostly in the MP aspect (though Bridge Commander can be played solo), and the missions are pretty samey and mostly explained through text briefings. But it really feels like being on the bridge of the Enterprise.

paulcdb, w Why CCP haven't stopped trying to make an EVE Online shooter for 15 years

All I want is a way to sell my ISK to recover some of the £k’s I wasted in that game. 😳

My jump freighter was lost and every year it was more of a grind to cover losses and just wasn’t fun anymore which is really the biggest problem! Nerf’s made ships bland and anything unique was nerfed so it was no longer unique… and now so much has changed there’s just too much hassle to figure things out! 😞

And it’s not like I can afford the electric to run a gaming pc these days anyway! 🤦‍♂️

Very excited. I started to play the demo to make sure it would run on Ubuntu and it does – it just works.

And I just created a Talos Principle community so we fans can share news and discuss the games:

Demo? What is this, 1998? Shouldn’t they just make you pre order and give you access 5 days early?

What happened to humble bundle ? A lot of people have a list with thousands of games because of this site.

sugar_in_your_tea,

It’s still there, I’m not sure what your point is.

Diabolo96,

Years ago, it was really big. I often heard about humble bundle online, but now it’s very rarely talked about. The only time I recall reading about them recently was an article about how they’re struggling.

sugar_in_your_tea,

I still hear about them and buy from them, but I buy a lot less because:

  1. They were bought by IGN, so they’re a for profit group now
  2. Changed Choice to offer major AAAs more often instead of being focused on indies
  3. They set slider for minimum percent to Humble in bundles to 15% (I used to give about 20-30% to Humble, now I do 15% as a form of minor protest)
  4. Bundles often come with coupons for the store instead of just being bundles of games, and the $1 tier is either complete trash or non-existent

And so on. Basically, they’ve gotten more corporate, so they’re less unique vs the competition. In fact, I’ve picked up more bundles from Fanatical than Humble in the last couple years because I no longer feel a preference for Humble, and now just go where the deals are.

I’m guessing some or all of that is why the sources you follow don’t mention it as much. It’s still very much a thing though.
